You are deliberately being obtuse just for the sake of riling things up on here. I just called you on it.
It's a stupid question, and you are trying to make it complex.

That is a nice philosophical argument, and I do not disagree with any of those words. The problem is deciding exactly what the law is that we are all equal before. The examples I mentioned are all cases where from one point of view it is seen as a reasonable law, but from another's POV it is interfereing with a group of people's right to life, liberty, etc.

You have not spent a lot of time in school board meetings. Before they ever open their mouths I'll wager the following:
--Over 60, they complain that too much is spent on education.
--In their 30s with kid in tow, they are pushing for more school spending.
--The people who live where the hospital burn unit is being expanded: "The community needs it, an the burn unit will benefit the whole region more than that clinic in the sticks"
--Those who live by the now-closed clinic didn't see it that way.
I don't think it's a matter of evil intent, but where we stand does depend upon where we sit.

It's usually not a good idea not to sit where someone else has been standing, unless you wipe it off first!

We may need a separate award for most insane. MunchMouth is more maniacal than stupid. With the proper medication, and several years of intensive psychotherapy, I think MunchMouth might be capable of rational thought.

In the end, we are all human beings and members of a great family. I don't understand why people out there cannot get along anymore.

Because for a few ignorant reasons the hard left and right are somehow the inmates that are in charge of the asylum now. Personally, I blame it on the 24 hour news do-loop and the rapid changes in the world. The harder and faster things change the more the fringe groups will cling to the old ways no matter how little sense it makes to do so. That and the media has to sell advertising time so the come up with the more and more absurd.

And your handle in The AntiChrist....and you have that Wyld Stallyns guy in your avatar?
For the most part today is the pinnacle of human kindness over much of the world. Institutionalize slavery is at an all time low. Women's rights for the most part at an all time high. No genocides happening today (that I'm seeing reported). Even though there's a huge amount of debt, there's a huge amount of wealth. More people have electricity and access to a phone than ever before. No polio, poxes and other world wide pandemics (TAE feel free to break in here). Risk of nuclear annihilation is low.
Not long ago in our species history you had to worry about the neighboring tribe attacking your village, and, if your village lost the battle, having all the males killed and the females raped and either killed or sold into slavery.
2012 is one big kumbaya moment for humanity.
