This is true.
Don't want a border country that is in NATO.
And there was corruption (i'm going to say the current situation put that on hold.)
Also, there is corruption in Russia too. Can you say "Oligarch".
Those two reason are not valid to invade another country.
Gonna have to try real hard to justify putin action.

Think you need to update you National Geographic african native editions.
Belarus is on eastern border unless you talking about that tiny sliver on the Baltic north of them. Seems like you were inspired by Lesotho from your old subscription.
Aren't you forgetting Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania?

you said name a NATO country that borders Russia. i did. Kaliningrad Oblast is Russian territory even if it's not actually connected to Russia proper. Belarus isn't in NATO and Poland is far larger than Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania combined. they are fly specks.
i don't think NATO as in European NATO has the balls to fulfill its charter if one of its members did get attacked by Russia. they are all pussies. especially France.

You're the map-reading dunce. Belarus was part of the old USSR. At one time, Lithuania was part of Poland and vice versa.
Perhaps you forgot how Hitler and Stalin tried to carve up Poland in the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact? The reason I worry about this country's future is because there are so many historical ignoramuses like you posting online. Some of them are even shaping US foreign policy.

Yes, and Kaliningrad means a lot to Putin. It's a strategic asset and Russia's only ice-free Baltic port. It's also separated from mother Russia by 230 miles and highly vulnerable. We should be massing NATO troops along all sides of the Kaliningrad border right now. Fuck Putin.

No. I was agreeing with LL that Russia doesn't want a "succesful" border country. Ukraine dust your little land locked, Lesotho type speck of land by over 20 times in GDP. Yes, it is 3 times less than Poland. But those little flyspecks make the place you mention look like a shit stain marked wallet.
And show me where I said Belarus is in NATO. I identified your "Russian" terroritory. I guess if a person doesn't hurl an insult, there (grammar mistake intentionally left) post is lost.
I'll try not to be obtuse with you. Like others thinking sarcasm is lost on me.

Nope. I identified it. I guess the analogy to the African country I mentioned was too far a leap for y'all to get. I only stated that Belarus was on the north border. But "unless you talking about that tiny sliver on the Baltic north of them" was the answer to the $24 question.
You're slipping LL.

Oh. With global warming, Russia is going to have a shit ton of ice free coast line. But currently, Ukraine is the swiftest grab for that asset.

So tell me, oh great experienced cartographer, without giving a second point for reference on each one of your quotes, how do *YOU* know what your talking about?
If you want to prove somebody doesn't know what they are talking about, give *ALL* the proper information.
So, let me help you, "east" was in reply to Waco and Poland.
"North" was a secondary reply about Waco post with Russia not wanting Ukraine being another NATO country on it's border. since you didn't like my first response to you I gave the bearing for Belarus.
So, don't go telling people they don't know what they are talking about if you are going to display that you don't know what you are talking about.

Remember...lustylad is our resident economist, He is real big on say Trump running trillion dollar deficits during so called "best economy of all time".
He fancies himself an oil expert too but seems not to understand that the price is subject to many world wide conditions and that we do not have a state owned system.
So proceed with caution....you're dealing with an arrogant idiot.
