Price of Pussy
Well, I'm glad someone is keeping their eye on the ball.
However, the price of pussy will always considerably higher be in the US than other countries, but take heart.
. . . Bangkok is still a bargain in that department!

Perspective
I suppose that is really a matter of perspective.
I happen to ardently believe that this country is indeed on the road to prosperity, but I'm sure the panhandlers that I see shivering on the street asking for a handout do not see it that way.
. . . I am guessing you might fall into that second category and nothing I say will change your mind and frankly, sir, I have no reason to persuade you otherwise!

Fixed that for you. Don't forget to include the price of airfare!

So you see panhandlers shivering in the cold and still believe the economy is doing well. Interesting. Sounds like you can't even convince yourself.
Did you see my quote out of a recent SS report published by the govt that said "once the recovery is complete the economy will slow down"?

You have got to be kidding. We're running trillion dollar deficits year after year with no end in sight. Unemployment has been approximately eight percent for four plus years, and you think we're on the road to prosperity? When inflation starts to kick in and the interest rates skyrocket, you'll probably be giddy with delight.
What's your strategy for personal wealth? Run up all your credit cards to the max and take out a second mortgage on your house?

LOL. No, I am not on the street panhandling. I have some investments in precious metals that should do quite well if the economy tanks.
But you being from Houston, where there are already a lot of panhandlers on the streets, should stake out your spot now, before all the good spots are taken.

No. i've never noticed that. What I do see is he hands the " You're an Idiot" Card to those that truly deserve it. If you hang around this thread long enough I am sure he'll be handing you one.

Apparently the House will be voting on the Senate bill in about an hour. Numerous sources say that it is expected to pass.
I would imagine the House Repubs now wish that they would have given stronger consideration to Boehner's Plan B. In hindsight it probably looks much better to them than the Senate bill they will be voting on. We will see in an hour or so whether the Senate bill passes both Houses of Congress.
