According to the sources, Trump contacted staffers Kellyanne Conway and Sean Spicer at approximately 6 a.m. and instructed them to purchase enough tin foil to cover every phone in the building.

The President, still wearing his bathrobe after what was reportedly a sleepless night, personally supervised the tin-foil installation, sources said.

“Wrap it tighter,” he was heard bellowing at Conway.

After the installation was complete, Trump ordered the Secret Service to check every room in the White House for signs of former President Barack Obama.

“He’s still here somewhere, I know it,” Trump reportedly muttered.

Please enlighten us Texas bumpkins as to why a President who is termed out would order a wiretap (which he is not allowed under protocol with any myriad of FBI folks potentially leaking and exposing this and ruin any possible legacy) of a campaign? It makes no sense at all. It's not like anyone in Obama's WH was expecting him to win. What would have been the motive?

It smells like a classic obfuscation/misdirect.

They should appoint a special prosecutor, give them subpoena power, and chase all of this wherever it leads.

Seriously? You want motives? That's easy. How about to discredit and derail Candidate Trump before the election, then to de-legitimize him and undermine his ability to govern as President Trump after he won?

As you surely must know, no federal agency would go to the FISA court seeking a wiretap on behalf of the executive branch without Obama's knowledge and approval as POTUS.
