I need some help dealing with TER, pls.

First, sorry about all the typos in my last post. I came off like Charlie Sheen!! The phone rang and I didn't get back to edit in time.

The specific problem here is I only have 3 TER reviews up. Two were from this summer and are both good/great. And then this bad one (5/5???) in early Nov.
And haven't been able to get any on top of that. The kid said I looked ten years older than my pics. Ok, so now I have brand new rockin pics and I need at least a couple of good reviews on top of the bad one.

It has been suggested to me that I ask anyone submitting a review to buy a one month VIP membership. I will try that tactic.

I too prefer NO reviews and resisted for over 3 years. To me the date is a private experience, and not subjective. Oh well.

What I meant by that comment was that a lot of people see some of the top providers as suspect because of the BS that goes on on TER. My comments were not to harm or offend you. I am friends with a few of the gents you have seen and they have nothing but great things to say about you. So you are being defensive for no reason. Noone is attacking you.

Yes they deny reviews from new guys with no history. I'll give them that however there are certain rules like if you don't do greek you can't get a 10 rating. It is clearly stated on their site. I asked a provider about it and she said "Oh I don't do greek" BS! She has that she did on her site. ]Ugh that makes me upset. LOL

TER is a system. All systems can be manipulated. I hear what Val is saying because I know a couple of women with consistently strong reviews that are perceived as "too good to be true"...so she is right in saying that often women in that position are questioned. It's a shame really because there are some women that just are that good all the time (far and few between, but they are out there). That sort of thinking usually comes because there are also another bunch of women (as Naomi pointed out) that do manipulate reviews. There are women that actually contact reviewers AFTER the review has posted and ask them to adjust their scores, there are also women that ask to see the reviews before they are posted. There are men that write reviews for free access (*cough* PJ) and lord knows what other combinations. To a certain degree, if you have reviews on TER you have to stay on top of them. By that, I don't mean swipe the crappy ones off if you have any, I mean watch for the ones (as Val pointed out) that are good fakes. There have been instances of men trying to build credibility quickly by submitting reviews and they will usually try and do this by attempting to be as un-noticeable as possible...by submitting a positive review. Sure, some of the men that do this just want free access but unfortunately there are also men with something more sinister to hide that manipulate the system like that. They generally think they are good to go because a woman won't remove a good fake. Wrong. The tide is turning there because they do...I know several women that have.

I think the bottom line is that if you are going to use TER you have to be careful not to let reviews define you. YOU define you...the reviews are subjective. As Chica said, just like on an ordinary date you won't click with everyone and unless the gent is downright rude, as long as you end the appt politely I don't think it's that big a deal. I've ended a few over the years because we just didn't click, which is not that easy when the gent is super polite and nice. I'm way past trying to be all things to all people but realize that sometimes, people read reviews instead of websites (or just don't read your website fully enough) when arranging to meet you. It's not always obvious in their initial email but soon becomes obvious when you meet lol....

Some women do well without reviews, some women do well with reviews. Some are not that bothered either way. I think most women just figure out what works best for them and go with it...which is always the right answer.

I think that's changed Naomi. The highest a woman can get without certain activities is a 7...then there are 4 "extra's"...3 of which she must provide to get a 10. One is greek. So you don't have to offer greek in theory to get a 10...but it is definitely one of the 4. I won't bother listing the others lol..

I am wary of ladies always having 10/10. i saw an article in the news years ago when some high roler agency in NYC got busted on how they "financed" for a lady to get all these stellar reviews. I think no one can only be 10/10. That is just too unrealistic. And TER is known for people paying for reviews. I am not saying its not happen anywhere else., But since its THAT obvious why would i work with anyone like that?

Then why the hell do people still use them? I haven't looked at a TER review to book a date in over 5 years and haven't missed it. Why do we get so wrapped up with them?

It is very demanding I agree Naomi. I'm not listed as Bi though (I dont do doubles) but assume the 10 I got is because I used to see couples..even though none of them ever reviewed me. Who the hell knows how they do it lol...but you are right that it's very demanding. No doubt about it and no woman should ever feel "pushed to perform". Ever! I have as much respect for the women that use TER as I do for those that don't.

Nina, the ownership has changed since then...though what you write has been reported on publicly by several people. Like I said, it's manipulating the system...and that takes the value out of it to some degree, for everyone. I guess it's just different people manipulating it now lol.

In my mind PJ, reviews are really only objective for a couple of reasons. Is she legit (i.e. not a bait and switch or cash and dash). Other than that, it's all subjective and the details are neither here nor there...
I would think that in Boston people know I'm legit by now...but I like to travel sometimes so I leave them up for the people that may not be familiar with me. If I stayed put in boston I'd get rid.

As the saying goes, money talks. TER is a big time money maker and they are known Nationwide. Heck I only had 5 reviews and the site made me a pretty good living. It's the gift that keeps on giving. Most of my regulars came from that site. That is why people get so wrapped up in it. Even after the BS with the founder, people still flock to that site. It's a cash machine.

BigDoggie was a big money maker in its day too. Reviews there aren't in as high demand as they were.
