... Trump is just SUPERMAN - fighting for American values.

Can’t you see that describing Trump as superhuman is in itself just another way of deifying Trump. It’s like an evangelical saying that he was sent by god. Trump is just a man and a deeply flawed one at that.

Deify is a bit much, but certainly Trump is one bad ass mofo, he's not average for sure

Just because he deviates from the norm is not in itself proof of his greatness.
He’s a man that is unable to accept the reality of his own weaknesses and unwilling to be seen as someone who makes mistakes. This is a trait that will lead to tragedy.
Good leaders are able to see what’s working and what’s not and then correct the situation. Trump can’t do that without blaming others for his failures.
Seeing him as without failure is simply unhealthy.

I see failures on his part, many of his supporters do. What's important is his drive to keep going, fearlessness and his instinct that allow him to see through the bs.
These qualities resonate with what a leader is.
As for not learning from his mistakes, it seems he's making a major course correction this time around, so I'd venture that he is learning.

Trump releases “single most important video on the internet today” about how to rid world of deep state tyranny
11/15/2024 // Ethan Huff
Time is up for the deep state cartel as President-elect Donald Trump hits the ground running with a bold America First plan.
The inauguration is still a few months away, but Trump released the video below, outlining what he plans to do starting on Day One of his second term.
"I will shatter the deep state and restore government that is controlled by the people," Trump promises.
One of Trump's first orders of business on Jan. 20, 2025, is to re-issue a 2020 executive order allowing the president, in this case Trump, to fire all rogue bureaucrats from government who are insubordinate to the new administration and its plans for America, which American voters overwhelmingly voted in favor of installing on Election Day...

A course correction into the abyss. The last time around there were people around him that try to hold back his crazier impulses.
Drive for excellence is a good trait to have but the inability to see and understand your own weaknesses, to acknowledge your mistakes, just means that drive you admire will lead him to double down on his failures.
We’ve all seen this behavior from him in the past. It’s a moral failure that too often gets ignored. No one should be surprised when he fails to live up to his superman hype.

... No, mate - I did the deity thread before - comparin'
Trump to God and Jesus and what-not, remember?
And some o' you lads complained and got the thread closed.
THIS thread here is remarkable - because I started it
almost A YEAR ago... The first post about Trump being
Superman back-then... As all those LAWSUITS were surely
gonna sink Him -as all the liberal lads predicted.
And before the TWO attempts on Trump's life!
So, yes - I am aware that Trump is just a man. ... SUPERMAN

#6 - Respect the topics presented by those who start a thread. Attempts to derail a thread or change it's direction is referred to as thread hijack and will be discouraged. Attempts to guide a thread in the right direction are appreciated, while responses to posts which hijack a thread are not.

Sure, not Elvis, though he may have collaborated with him in the past. Some may even speculate that is where the Trump dance started.
Come to think of it, if he grew his hair out a bit during the next 4 years, he might even favor Elvis a bit more.
