My favourte was Odumbo stating thaat Romney's plan would add 5 trillion bucks to the deficit but then claim that he had no specifics to his plan.
I call that creative accounting.

Exclamation Pundits

Yes, I read the newspapers and know their opinions.

. . . But, have you ever known "pundits" to be wrong?

Perhaps it's escaped your attention, but "Van Jones" isn't your run-of-the-mill pundit. Oh! And there's James Carville who also noticed that Odumbo was an empty suit last night.

Do you want to know what REALLY bothered me about the debates? And it is about stylistics.

It was just infuriating that Obama was looking in all different directions, and during Romney's rebuttals and talks, it looked as if his eyes were closed during it all.

I REALLY thought that Obama would have won these debates hands down. But he was looking at someone in the audience and he was reading, or IM'ing, responses.

It just looked awkward. There would be Romney talking, and Obama's eyes looked closed. But Romney would look at Obama when he spoke.

And so policies aside, Obama couldn't keep his hands and eyes away from the damn Ipad, or whatever he had, to seem like he had good focus.

Also, when Romney would present a zinger, I was surprised that Obama didn't fight back. He would smile a lot.

Also, the moderator for the debates couldn't keep the men in line. Alpha men can be difficult to deal with even on a good day (I know this) but neither one of them followed the timing as per the rules.

And that was just rude.

Sadly, the debates just didn't go as I thought that they might. And overall, that's bothersome to me. I'm sure that I wasn't the only one surprised.

I gave him a pass, personally, since it was his anniversary, because .....

.... it had to be distracting to him while he was worrying about having his annual sexual session with Michelle that evening ...

That's like saying Joe Frazier out pointed George Foreman.

Usually there's a debate over who won the debate.
Not this time.

Before you carnivores drown in your own drool, I think tomorrow's commercials won't really speak of last night's debates.

That would make it a no-win for Romney. He needed fodder for future attacks. Didn't get anything other than the same old shit. Policy wonk food. People won't understand any of it.

Of course there're the "Kill him" folks out there...

Rage on, bunker butt buddies!

The good news for Romney is that he clearly won the debate on style
The bad news for Romney is there are 2 remaining and the other 2 debates will not be on the economy- which basically was Obama's only weakness and Romney's strongest point- by the time the other 2 debates will take place- people will all but forget about this debate.
This reminds me a lot of Bush vs Kerry- on their 1st debate where Bush looked flat.

I didn't watch the entire debate, because after about 15 minutes I was bored by it. But from what i saw, I'd have to give it to Romney, but i don't think its going to change very many peoples opinion of either of the candidates. I did watch someone interview a group of undecided voters who in my opinion, probably get stuck in the grocery store for hours because they can't decide whether to buy smooth style or chunky style peanut butter.

exxon mobil or no major company gets statutory depletion.. even small independents dont get it

your mother may get it if she has an oil royalty

a thousand bbls a day is four wells averaging 250 bbls a day to your interest

once a company has around 32 to 33 million in gross revenue or so for a year ..which is what the production limits work out to, you NO LONGER QUALIFY for statutory depletion

you have to be either a royalty owner..a mom and pop..or some small company trying to get going...who are out there risking their ass on drilling where major companies would never drill, taking chances on small projects and drilling far more dry holes than producing ones. What the hell do you think a dry hole is worth? ZERO and do you get depletion on it? its only on production, you get nothing

exxons revenues are around $486 billion, they havent seen a statutory depletion deduction since 1975

ALL NATURAL RESOURCE MINERALS, not just oil and gas, get percentage depletion, the only difference is OIL & GAS, being the bug-a-boo for liberal idiots who dont know a thing, just they think they do, is the only natural resource where percentage depletion is HIGHLY LIMITED

its really pathetic the misinformation about the oil and gas industry
