I agree with MOST of what you are saying , with some commentary
The trick is to differentiate yourself from the standard hourly provider and prepare for and market yourself to a client with a different set of expectations.
True. Although I do have to ask what is "the standard hourly provider". I think a lot of ladies offer 1h rendez-vous as sort of middle ground. Some may thrive in half hour realm and still offer 1h rates. Others prefer longer engagements but also offer shorter (1h) sessions.
Low volume. That is something you will never know unless you actually meet the lady. Of course, there are certain indicators of volume. Such as new reviews popping up every day, posts stating "i still have 2:30 availability" etc.
But unless you know the lady well, you are not going to be aware of how low or high volume she is.
Other gainful employment
Some ladies have a day job, others may have school, family or other commitments. I personally started as part time companion (was juggling being companion and office work). At some point I reached a point where income from this lifestyle affords me opportunity to pursue my artistic aspirations. So do I have other gainful employment? No, not in a sense of another income generating time commitment. Do I have other time commitments? Most definitely yes. Once again we have a gray area. Last but not least, one of the benefits and requirements of being top notch companion is availability for travel and longer engagements.
Incall. Some ladies reside in markets where maintenance of separate incall location does not put a dent in their earnings. In NYC (place I am most familiar with) it is impossible. Although for some reason it is absolutely expected. I can't tell you how many times I had to explain that while I have access to private location if such is needed, I don't spend my days seating there and waiting for calls.
So I guess I fail the test .. I have 1h rate, incall and don't work 9-5
