I completely forgot I started this thread but I appreciate all the responses. My vague ideas were to sort of play devil's advocate and posit that if one truly thinks that women are equal to men in all areas, one wouldn't differentiate if it came time to hit someone (or, if you want, extend it to you are in combat and a woman is firing at you.) Now I agree with the poster who said it's ideal that no one would ever hit anyone but that's unfortunately not realistic and I think self-defense (or defense of others) has to be considered, and I don't think it's anti-woman to say that you'd hit a woman in self-defense. To whoever was worried that I even asked the question, rest assured it was a purely theoretical one. As for me, I quote the ever wise Scott Pilgrim and say "I can't hit girls. They're so......soft." Valerie can tell you, I even apologized for smacking her on the ass too hard!

My initial intention was to STFU, but thats out the window.
It is no secret I was raised in the hobby, and as for what kind of men I have met. All kinds! I am the chic the shit happens to that doesn't happen to anyone else. Fires, stabbed, sold, etccc..
And furthermore, if someone puts there hand on my child, someone can be male/female, or otherwise; I am taking them out! That is the last time, I initiated the first punch! And I would do it again!

i agree with the idea that i haven;t met a woman yet i couldn;t defend myself from - either by deflecting the violence or moving away from them (think dodgeball). i am 6'1" 230# - and know i hit hard. women just aren;t built for that physically - although a couple of them mentally could have used a butt-kicking.

i once was challenged by a larger woman of the more lesbian persuasion when my buddy was dancing with her girlfriend. i managed to verbally persuade her that she didn;t want to do that with me. it was pretty easy actually. i was amused later.

still haven't hit a female ... not even a puppy dog i think.

If a man is handling his business in the manner a man should, no we are not equal.. that's why there's so many single mothers out there whining and crying that they can't keep a man.

Way I look at it is this: drug companies need to come up with a BC pill for guys, that drops our sperm count down to like 1%. as long as we take it, we are shooting blanks...
a guy takes this pill, uses condoms and the single mom count will drop down...

OK, I'll just say it. I'm not a fan of men hitting/abusing women, children, animals, etc. However, I'm kinda with Spirit and BestOral on this one. While I personally have never been hit by a woman and hope to keep it that way, I'd like to think my reaction would be proportional and appropriate to the initial attack and would immediately end the altercation. Sorry, but no one gets a free pass. That's called welcome to real life.

okay single mothers aside, single professional women complain about not being able to find a man too.. why is that, are all men losers? I think not.Yes respect is paramount and women are better than some things than men and vise versa, but equal, I don't think so. Just my opinion
