I think you're allowing yourself to be tormented by makeshift predatory personalities on a message board. I'd be willing to bet the majority are quiet, normal people in real life.

I always thought that the idea of formally declaring the existence of a "club" was metaphorical and/or a parody of actual clubs that adults participate in, generally as a way of recapturing their lost youth. Recently I have become convinced that this is an actual club.

These guys aren't gargoyles plundering or ransacking small villages of innocent, helpless victims. They're 55 year old boys trying to be funny on a message board dedicated to hooking.

Sometimes they're funny, sometimes they're jackasses.

The magnitude of the problem is below normal detectability range. No?

Yes, some good has come. No good comes from closed threads. Of course I wouldn't know you asked him to close it, I think whoever closed it might be lacking the conviction the free expression of ideas requires, but that is his problem (and the board's).

I believe my feelings toward the GOBC, that I have formed are both positive and negative. My torment only lies within my own expectations and wishes and desires. I have taken time to examine them, as this "adult entertainment" world is a part of myself. I sincerely appreciate your honest interpretation, though.

Many people I know are quiet and normal in real life. As an escort I have the opportunity to sometimes see the rest of their beings. Sometimes softer. Sometimes harsher.

Similar to my belief that people see and also not see the different parts of different people as a very typical phenomenon when dealing with any internet discussion board. And after-all, we might only see (or fail to see) how a person represents him/her self and how we each interpret that.

The bottom line on some of that to me is one of my number one quandaries in life: Trying to figure to the best of my ability another person's intentions. I try not to sweat it with the board, as most say it is only a hooker board. But I am human.

I am almost always ready to try to communicate who I am. I do not personally feel I am ready to fight!
