I still think we are talking about two separate things...taking an established friend to dinner after a play date is one thing.

A guy specifically wanting to hire a dinner date who guarantees dessert is yet another.

True...if he asks specifically for dinner date, yeah, pay the lady.

I do agree with both of you as I think we are talking about different scenarios. If I have a play date and my date would like to have dinner and drinks before and after, no problem, but I am only paying the hourly rate for the playtime. If it is companionship for the evening than I agree that a fee could be agreed on but no way will I pay what some charge. Bottom line is that it is a negotiation process.
All I am saying is that I have obviously paid for my time but I have never had the opportunity to share some time before or after for dinner/wine/jazz club etc. I would certainly enjoy that addition someday as I enjoy being around people. I just don't think any providers would enjoy the social, activities with me before or after. All that I have met have been just too business like. Yes it's a fantasy...but....I can dream can't I ?

Thank you thank you thank you! Thank you for your honest comments.

This is exactly what I'm getting at...my gut feeling. That some providers are just not cut out for dinner/activity dates. I've learned (as have all of you) that we have several ladies amongst us who do excel in this area...with awards going to Fancy And Genesis N.

Jazzy...I think you under estimate yourself...I've read your posts for awhile now and think you're great. Plus I love jazz...everyone should!

So...if you actually had a lady who you knew truly enjoyed your company and wanted to do Dinner at a nice jazz club and "dessert" after...what sort of price would you think was appropriate? You don't need to give a dollar amount, maybe a percentage. Or regular rate for BCD and 1/2 for the rest? I really have been trying to get a feel.

Too many times I've asked and I get the two opposite ends of the spectrum. No pay for non BCD or all pay for everything.

What's a fair price?

LMX..oh my dear I've been reading this post and I guess I finally have to add my two cents.

I am on the fence with the dinner date thing with a provider. I guess because it is reminiscent of the times when I would date civilians in Newport Beach all the while only thinking to myself.."How many dinners and nights do I have to do this before I am flesh deep with this girl? I wonder if she gives good head? I wonder if she is a good fuck" and so on.

I am not opposed to going to having a drink, going to lunch or even dinner with a provider at all - it all depends on the provider an our chemistry together but I would never do this before we had a session. If it is just a "friendly" type of dinner/drink/lunch thing no problem but if I am actually "in to" the provider it could be a bit dangerous - as I don't like to get feelings involved - after all I was in a previous life a "romantic cat" but thats cat died its 9th life..

Thanks for weighing in, SNL. I get your point. But I love the inimacy and foreplay of sharing a meal with good wine. Good convo. Good company. It that crosses some boundary, then buyer beware, lol. That's a danger I can live with...

You hit the nail on the head. Times are apparently changing, and personally as a "romantic cat" myself I can certainly enjoy drinks/lunch/dinner with a provider (actually, with or without dessert). But in the "old days" this type of activity would have been highly discouraged by the majority of the "senior" hobbyists.

Minxy (if I may call you that, if not feel free to admonish me however you so please), we will never get a consensus on a fair price. As with most things, the "value" is established by what someone is willing to pay. That being said, I do agree with other hobbyists who feel that the prices most providers quote for these types of "experiences" appear to be in the "no f'n way" range. If someone wishes to pursue such an experience with a particular provider, then pay the price, negotiate, or find someone else who is willing to meet your expectations.

Thank you so much Darling!!! Although I must say, it really has nothing to do with "me" yet the company I keep. So, THANK YOU! for being such a wonderful man to spend my time.
