The thread is about an idiot pulling his pistol on a couple of cops executing a warrant to confiscate his weapons. The legal basis for the warrant is actually not relevant to the event ...

If he hadn't pulled his weapon on them and they hadn't killed him it would probably have never been reported so as to post the OP.

There are search (and arrest) warrants executed all over this country and a slight number ever result in any violence (and particularly death).

They have to have a final/appealable order first. Then they have to find an attorney to handle the appeal. A decent firearm for around the house would cost about $400-500 and an appeal would be $20,000+ on up.

I would assume a number of groups would provide an attorney and cover the legal fees.

I guess I don't understand what has to happen to challenge the TRO in the first place. The TRO itself is injury, isn't it? Isn't injury cause for appeal at a higher court?
