Speaking only for myself, as a single guy, I get tested way more often than I did when I was married. Maybe its just my own paranoia, but its always a concern for me when I get a new partner or see a provider. When I was married, it never crossed my mind to get test until things went downhill.

I think guys who are concerned, get tested. Doesn't matter if they are married or not.

Married guys get tested less frequently as they have to hide this also from SO's. Due to delays in symptoms showing up, if they do at all, the married guy is also far more likely to get caught in a cycle of: getting disease from provider-->give disease to SO-->getting treated-->getting disease from SO-->giving disease to new provider-->etc. Hell, he would be in a scenario of never knowing whether he was getting it from provider or SO after a while.
