Dr Ben Carson would do an excellent job of running the health care system. We need him and not the clowns in Washington. Who wants a politician deciding when to pull the plug on granny.

You are entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts. The people added because of the expanded eligiblity are covered by the federal govt for 3 years at 100% after that it tapers down to 90% federal payment nine years later. What Texas said (Rick Perry) was that after 10 years the cost would be too much to bear. I will point out that a minority of states turned down the federal money and the expansion. Uninsured people in Texas get care. Just ask any of the large county hospitals what their unpaid care bills are. It is estimated Texas hospitals provide over $5 billion a year. In FY 2012 Parkland provided $685 million. Guess where that hidden cost ends up?
By not participating, Texas foregoes $9.17 billion. Using your figures that is nearly a billion if costs don't go up. Just think what we would save if we we controlled our borders and made it a felony to hire illegals. What if you actually had to produce a birth certificate to enroll in school?

Carson is a fuckin stud! I'm not sure about commander in chief, but I would love to see him in there somewhere. Secretary of health and human services or somewhere he could make a difference. That is one sharp cat right there.

The premiums at my two businesses have gone down since we got an ACA policy. Our premiums used to be $1,900-something/employee+kids. Now they are high $1,300- something/employee+kids. Saved he a shitload of money for me. Over $100,000 extra in my pocket.

That blog is progressive liberal left. That bill was never passed by the Republicans. Even the blogger claims it a half truth to say the ACA was the 1993 Republican Plan. Further not one Republican voted for the ACA because it is converting the free market into a federal government controlled system. It will be worse when fully enacted than the care provided by the VA. Did you miss those headlines and press ?

If the Pubs drafted the ACA and got those kind of results afterward the press would have a field day. So are your employees and the federal government picking up the difference?

Back to fraud and greed, there is A LOT of fraud in the insurance business - medical, auto, home, etc. Getting the federal govermnet involved is only going to make it worse. Hopefully the next President (be it Pub or Dem) will not waste time and energy trying to repeal the ACA, but will work within the framework of the legislation and restructure the responsibly to the states and local government so there is an objective measure of policies over time based on how well certain states handle their system.

But that would make too much sense so we are fucked either way. Get your lube folks.

100% subsidy for two years. After that, it's 90%. Wyoming and Arizona are reconsidering and signing up. Texas will eventually follow. Republicans can't say "No" to the doctors and hospitals. Too much money between the two. Plus, they'll get tired of our money going to subsidize other states. Though Texas is dumb enough, we'll be one of the last to come around.

Alternatively: thanks greedy and we'll to-do businesses who would rather increase their bottom line instead of take a marginal hit to take care of their employees!

I loved this conversation at our business. 5% cost increase to guarantee employees feel secure about their health and have them be happy to work for us, leading to an increase in productivity and thus more profits? I'll take that all day.

That is nearly a billion a year. Hell yes, they say no. The doctors and hospitals won't take medicaid patients anyway. We are going to take over the Senate in the midterms and defund this crap.

Which Democrat? None on the scene yet. Questionable if a Republican Establishment or Libertarian would. A Tea Party Republican certainly. Vote for Ted Cruz.

I think a fuckin stud is needed to clean up the shit created since Ronnie in every quarter of the Fed agencies. Carson would do it with a polite smile. He is a skilled surgeon. Snip your balls off in one swipe. That doesn't do it, another. He is capable of leading this Nation to the greatness she once was.

I met Cruz. You won't find a more down to earth guy than that. He comes off as one of the guys.
