Since I am new, maybe I don't have the requisite experience to answer intelligently. I think I came into this whit a very naive delusion about what this experience might be like.
Based on your definition in the initial post, Lily, I would say that is very close to what I was seeking and what I thought would happen. What I have found, in my very, very limited experience is something which bears no resemblance to what you describe.
What you describe, for comparison purposes, sounds very much like a visit to a five star restaurant, where the food is excellent, but the dining experience surpasses even the food.
What I have experienced thus far more closely resembles a drive thru at Jack-in-the-Box after the bar has closed at 2 am. Cars in front of me, cars behind me, so hurry up and get thru the line, pay your bill, and move on.

Well: go for it. After all, if I don't like your sentiments, I can simply cut and paste the above. Right?

I am more confused by your sentiments and don't understand where they came from, than don't like them (although true, I don't like them). Which is why I said "we" rather than "you" in terms of assumptions. Go for it - for what??

For those who are "allergic" to the term "elitist"...There in lies a great contradiction, for this very forum attracts only those you seem to be allergic to.........

ASPD was the place I learned about connection, multiple-hour dates, engagement at physical and mental levels, and how to pursue that model. It emphasized that everybody sharing an interest in those concepts was welcome. It was also acknowledged that the title of the forum did not reflect all the unique conversations and contributors.
Right now, I see elitism as a side-dish that could be pushed aside to focus on the content. When I stop seeing it this way, I will be out of here.

Just count me with the self-serving outsiders, rather than the cool kids who have sympathies to extend.
P.S. Imho, this it turning into a hi-jack... If you want to continue talking, PMs would be better.

I loved the movie! Did you see it?

If no westerner will ever be accepted or let in... just how are we having a conversation where one knows just what is going on in their world?. Did you read the book? I really ;liked it too.

What happened to the tried and true model of banning posters that joke with the poor downtrodden elite? I'm confused, have you changed sides?

OK, I'm curious about this post. Camille please explain if you could. I was born into money. My first car when I was 16 was a Porsche, I had my own personal maid and my own driver as well as my nannies. When I became a young woman, I married a man that had money. When we divorced, after 9 years of marriage and two children I let him keep 90% of the estate even though I was entitle to half because I didn't want his money, I had my own. I was never as wealthy as my father, at my peek I was only worth a couple of million - pennies compared to the empire I came from. But, I have also hit rock bottom and at one point was next to homeless living on food stamps. And guess what, my only brother inherited the bulk of my father's estate. Yet all this does not and would not entitle me to be called a Courtesan, it is a title I would have to earn IMO.

It would be nice if you and Thais would let us in on just what you agree on. So far all I have seen is "On one hand" followed by "On the other hand".
ps...Niv , do as you wish but I got zero out of the pm route in another place and time.

If a gentlemen chooses a Courtesan by gaining valuable information from her website, which express most of the wonderful qualities i've mentioned, he would never fail. However, most men choose by sexual stimulation instead of mental stimulation... and it is what it is.
