Everytime StupidOldLyingFart paints himself in another corner. As a last resort, he will play the "Is that all you got? LOL! Absolutely nothin" card.
StupidOldLyingFart, tell us once again, who is it that's got "absolutely nothin'?"

Never owned a handgun or rifle. I don't think I've ever even fired a handgun. Have fired a 22 a long time ago and an M-16 in the army.

Incredible beautiful pieces. Incredible craftsmanship. I suppose some folks actually shoot with them. I find that hard to imagine. But you can get incredible pleasure just holding them in your hand, running your hand across the grain of the wood, inspecting the tool work engraving, etc. It's truly remarkable what the hands of man can create.
But back to the point, if there is one: what light, inf any, does the question of what guns one owns shed on gun control or one's views on that subject?

None. its back to right wingers. local news radio by me is touting that more people are killed each year by hammer and clubs than by guns.
can someone tell me when the last hammer massacre was?

This very thread gives a good indication despite what Bud thinks. The gun owners here, whether they own one or many, seem to think it is a bad idea to "out" gun owners in the press. Non gun owners either did not respond or don't see the problem with it.

Sorry if I wasn't clear, JD. As a non gun owner, I think it is stupid to out gun owners, and counterproductive. Irresponsible journalism at its lowest.

You are the exception that proves the rule. Most of the non gun owners have not responded at all.

I would have to say that I am against it. Some sort of invasion of privacy.
Maybe the lack of response from people who do not own guns is that they don't care. I'm sure it is an important subject to gun owners but not to non gun owners.

A driver's license is a "public record" .. and so is a "social security card" ...
....... college records, birth certificates, military records, criminal histories...
.... the list is endless.
Posting a list of gun owners is motivated by one goal ...
.... trying to stir up trouble for owners and make them victims of retaliation for owning.
"Scarlet Letter"!
