That pic isn't Greg Norman, I hope. If it is, Covid did a major beat down!

Very good, that is not Greg Norman. But that is what he is going to look like if he keeps screwing around with the Saudis and this new proposed golf tour.

Plus........Phil Mickelson's mom chips in with this:

Mickelson's mother recently was quoted stating that he is hardly recognizable these days.

Whew. Scared me for a minute.

Someone should take a niblick to Norman's head, and a Mashie to Mickelson's chest, and see if some sense can be knocked into them.

Reportedly Dustin Johnson took the $ 100 million appearance fee money and went for the Saudi tour. Supposedly Jack would have gone for the administrator role for $ 100 million too, except he had a conflict with Nicklaus Companies to provide service exclusively to that company.

Greg Norman was asked that difficult question about Khashoggi killing. His reply was something along the lines of "We all make mistakes."

It was not received well, but what answer was he supposed to give to a question like that ? Maybe he should have said it is irrelevant to the golf world, or an inappropriate question, or just not answer it. All in all, it was not that bad of a response.

What would you have said that would have been better ?

Hard to say how I would have responded. Depends on the circumstances. Was the question in writing, or was I ambushed coming out of the Men's Room? I would assume Norman had rehearsed his response.. If he didn't, he was stupid.

I think I would say the issue is complex, and the evidence of murder culpability is unproven. I would stammer that I love all people, and desire justice to prevail in the end.

Then I would hide my face and beat it out of there, before any follow up questions came.

So who else thinks this golf league is one step above the Korn Ferry tour? My thoughts no TV,besides You Tube, no major sponsors and will probably last a year maybe. I say who ever joins the league, take away their PGA cards and ban them for life, bunch of low life criminals after the money, I'm not faulting them a 100% for the money, play better golf on the PGA win and you will get rich.

Thumbs down

I agree that this new tour will crumble and fold. The only guys interested are those at or past their career twilight. They figure they can grab a few final 10+ million, and call it a day. They are past competing, but deep in receiving.

By the way, I was in South Austin last week, and ''Onion Creek'' caught my eye. Where the first Senior Golf Tournament was held. Does that tour exist anymore? Seems like it may have died when Covid arrived?

Senior tour still active.

Now Biden is mulling over a trip to Saudi Arabia to discuss oil. Now we have an overlap of the political world and the golf world.

Perhaps this thread will get back to the political forum.

Phil has made his decision to play the LIV tour event. Waited till the last minute.

He must have realized he already crossed the bridge and could not drag himself back to the PGA Tour. Even with that sheepish grin of his.

He was going early on and just wanted to see if anyone else was going, and I agree with you if they play all 9 tournaments it will be a miracle. So if a rich Saudi wants Paulina does Dustin say yes or no and end up missing ? 🤔
