We have several posters in this forum who have a Far Right Wing political persuasion very near that of Rush Slimebaugh. I suspect their hearts just skipped a beat. Rush Actually Apologized! Personally, I don't think Rush's apology went far enough.
Rush should have also apologized to Ms. Fluke for being a loud mouth, dumb ass!

+ 1,000,000,000 and a drugged-out hypocrite who took so much oxycontin that it ruined his hearing (one of the side effects of large doses of painkillers).

Drug addiction card. I guess you have no friends who had problams. Did you throw them in the grease?

Really? I think placing herself purposefully in front of Congress causes her to be a public figure. Where was your and your fellow Socialist Dem's outrage when Bill Maher called Palin a "twat?"
This is interesting:
For me the interesting part of the story is the ever-evolving “coed”. I put that in quotes because in the beginning she was described as a Georgetown law student. It was then revealed that prior to attending Georgetown she was an active women’s right advocate. In one of her first interviews she is quoted as talking about how she reviewed Georgetown’s insurance policy prior to committing to attend, and seeing that it didn’t cover contraceptive services, she decided to attend with the express purpose of battling this policy. During this time, she was described as a 23-year-old coed. Magically, at the same time Congress is debating the forced coverage of contraception, she appears and is even brought to Capitol Hill to testify. This morning, in an interview with Matt Lauer on the Today show, it was revealed that she is 30 years old, NOT the 23 that had been reported all along.

In Turdfly's post as well as his provided link it was stated that she (Fluke) "was described as a 23-year old coed." It did not say or imply that (Fluke) described herself as being a 23 year old coed. She has no control over how others describe her, which essentially is the same thing Rush ended up apologizing for. "Rush to judgement Slimbaugh" made an inaccurate description of her (Fluke) and was forced to put his slimy tail between his legs and apologize for being a loud mouth blowhard!
Perhaps Turdfly should consider a basic reading comprehension course to prevent him from making as big of a fool of himself as his hero Rush Slimebaugh did!

That being the case, it appears that Rush Slimebaugh was dumb enough to fall into a trap by improperly referring to a 23 year old, errrrrr 30 year old, female law student as a "slut" and a "prostitute!"
Rush is an idiot!

Well if she needs $3,000.00 dollars worth of rubbers and contraceptive pills a year she' fucking way to much. I DO NOT WANT TO PAY FOR THEM.
NO one ever paid for my rubbers or my Children. People need to TAKE RESPONSIBLITIES for their actions.

Simple, if you wrote her (Fluke) a $3000 check to cover expenses, just contact your bank first thing Monday morning and stop payment on the check! It shouldn't cost more than $30 to stop payment on the check, a savings of $2970.
Problem solved! Wasn't that easy?

I never said she was a "Hooktard."
Since you brought it up, you were quite obviously a Fucktard for writing her the $3000 check in the first place!

Isn't it odd that whenever an issue like this comes up, the first question asked is, "What can we force people to do," rather than "What should people be free to do"?
I will offer a bold and radical solution. Let's let the insurance companies write the insurance they want to for whoever they want to. Then whoever wants to can buy it. If a company wants to buy insurance for employees, the company can say "We will pay for coverage X, Y and Z" and the insurance company can say "Ok, we will provide you coverage X, Y, and Z at this price." The company can say, "Sure". Then employee 1 can say "I'd also like coverage for A, B, and C". The insurer can then say, "Your company only pays for X, Y, and Z, but we can add a rider to your policy for coverage A, B, and C, at this cost to you." The employee can then decide whether or not to add the rider.
It's very simple, really. A person has a right to use contraception, but no one has a right to demand that someone else pay for it. And when we look at it from a freedom perspective, it becomes much more manageable.
