Nope !

Why would you want the American Cancer Society to pay taxes on it's revenue ?

Do away with the current system and replace it with the Fair Tax !
Fuck those co-called charities, too.

Very, very few of the most famous charities actually provide any significant amount of money to the needy/sick.

That includes the American Cancer Society and any organization that has anything to do with pink ribbons.

Most of them spend about 90% of their donations on salaries, organizational expenses, advertising. When you question them about it, they will tell you how much of their purpose really is about "raising awareness" and how that is just as important as giving money to the needy.

If the only way a charity can raise money is if it is tax deductible, may be people don't actually care that much about the charity to begin with.

A few worthwhile charities that serve the truly needy will easily survive the elimination of the tax deduction. Meanwhile, all those arts and museum charity scams will fall by the way side - or at least they will no longer reduce tax revenues because some rich California socialite wanted to add a new $60 million wing to the Getty museum.

Have you heard of the organization "True the Vote"? Catherine Engelbrecht started the group and applied for tax exempt status in 2010. The stated purpose was to train people to serve as voting judges, poll watchers, and to bring more certainty back to the voting process. It is non partisan but of course the advertising was focused on a certain segment so you got more people of a certain political bent. Kind of like "Rock the Vote" appealed to the younger, more liberal (democrat) voter. You've seen the story that is being posted online and she has appeared on Hannity and Huckabee. Ms. Engelbrecht was audited, her small business was audited, her husband was audited, she was audited by the EPA, she was audited by OSHA, before it was over 17 different shots were taken at her by the federal government. Now you can talk numbers and try to explain that statistically a certain number of conservative groups will be audited if the predominant number of applicants are conservative but numbers cannot explain the piling on by government agencies. Care to take a shot at explaining why Ms. Engelbrecht had such an experience? Anyone?

Someone had a point though this weekend (Sunday shows). Why are we so interested in taxing any organization like this or giving out a tax exempt status? It is well recognized that if you tax something you get less of it. So to promote something you reduce or eliminate the taxes on it. So what do we have here; it would appear that this White House has gone out of it's way (though not proven yet) to eliminate or reduce conservative activism. Is this really the job of the government to select which groups are good and which are undesirable. I have to throw this in...it reminds me of the camp officer picking and choosing who will live and who will go to the gas chambers. The government should not be in the business.

Default NIXON NEVER USED THE IRS AGAINST HIS POLITICAL ENEMIES; OBAMA IS WORSE THAN NIXON.

The 2nd Article of Impeachment of Nixon specifically charges Nixon "endeavored" to use the IRS; even the articles of impeachment know Nixon never actually used the IRS against his enemies, unlike Obama.............

Dear worthless cocksucker,

exactly when was Richard Nixon impeached?

I need you to provide links to the charges filed, the indictment and the trial.

OR ELSE SHUT THE FUCK UP.

Liars are no longer tolerated in the Sandbox. Nixon was never impeached. You and your douchebag lying friends neglect that fact.

Either get your shit together or get your ass outta here!

You can't be this dumb................well, maybe you are.........

I never said Nixon was impeached; but Congress did draft (and vote) articles of Impeachment against Nixon.................they were voted on by the bi-partisan Judiciary Committee........

Article 2 of Impeachment never charged Nixon with abuse of the IRS; Congress knew they couldn't prove it because the abuse of the IRS NEVER took place..

Obama is much worse than Nixon in this regard; and it is looking like Team Obama is even worse in the area of harassing journalists................... AP and Rosen stories developing..........

Is that how you felt with Solyndra?

The reason these tax exempt status to these Tea Party groups (and any liberal groups as well) is because they are political. They can hide their donor list because they have lied and said they were some social welfare group. So you wind up with a political process where you have no way to tie the money to the donor. If you weren't such a idiot , I would not have to keep pointing out this shit.

You must have missed the meeting where I asked why is the government involved at all?

Nope, that is exactly the point that I made...so how did you miss it?

The government is involved to see if these groups are what they day they are. You do not want say China funding our elections but I have no problem if China wants to fund some social program that these things by law are supposed to be doing. are you really this naive?

Actually, Whiny posted a bullshit photoshop meme TWICE that claims Nixon was impeached.

It never happened.

BTW -- don't be so fucking naive to think you've got all the answers WhirlyHEAVE. You're too stupid to be so arrogant.

Please continue to quote proposals, editorials, unpassed legislation and the ideas of others written on cocktail napkins as statements of fact. Nobody believes you anyway.
