A while back (months ago, actually) I posted a question to the affect that "when is the right time to ask the provider about special requests?" The answers I got back were pretty much "right up front".

Frankly, that seemed a little off to me as I would expect providers to react negatively to too much detail right up front. Yet it seems in this case any discussion about special requests should be transmitted only though mind melds psychic transmissions. It is not my intention to discount your concerns, but there has to be a right time to tell a lady about your preferences.

Really legitimate point. All ladies are different and from my experience once they realize you're not LE and serious about meeting they're pretty open to questions but if you're not a known quantity in the community it's a lot harder. And to your point, don't want to waste money when you want A and she doesn't care for it or if it's only YMMV.
