This presentation is just as flawed as the other one. It was not right after the Civil rights act went in. The notion that the south moves slow but not that slow is incorrect. The people who shared the same views as George Wallace, Strom Thurman and David Duke are not in the Democratic party today.
The other thing that is flawed is the Dixiecrats in the South who practiced racism were in the Democratic party they were NOT the Democratic party. These people left the Democratic party some time after the Civil Rights Act was passed.
