This is the same Bob Menendez who called the INS to prevent the arrest and deportation of an illegal alien sex offender who worked in his office until after the election. This is a felony and morally corrupt.

And let's not forget the Harry Reid false smear that Team Obama wouldn't distance themselves from (and likely directed or blessed by TeamObama):
"Bain Investor Told Him Romney ‘Didn’t Pay Any Taxes For 10 Years"..........Reid wasn't asked by Team Obama to prove it, name names, or apologize !
Reid knew it to be a lie,,,but stood firm.
We don't know what is the truth or lie in the Menendez scandal, but we have a pretty good idea regarding his character...about time Menendez answer questions under oath !
The Democrats are scum; about time they learn to take their own medicine.

As JD pointed out above,,,,Bob Menendez is a POS; the underage escort charge isn't a one-off event...Menendez has a history of acting unethically and with dis-regard for the law and rules of the Senate.
He should have resigned in disgrace after the INS charge.

Well it is New Jersey. Look how they abused, and broke the laws, when Torricelli was up for reelection. He was about to be indicted and he was behind in the polls to the republican. So he withdrew from the election with 27 days to go. The New Jersey constitution states that once a 30 days before an election occurs the ballot is frozen (the GOP in Missouri obeyed this law with Akin). Did New Jersey freeze the ballot? Nope, they used taxpayer money to print new ballots and replaced Torricelli with retread Lautenberg who had been senile when retired from the Senate two years earlier. They broke the law, violated their constitution, and disenfranchised the military members who could not get a new ballot in time to vote. Way to go New Jersey.

That sounds like a serious charge. I'm going to have the moderator for sanctions.

Lets keep it on track here. This whole topic is right on the edge of being against the site/forum rules anyway. Don't derail it.

I'm sorry but biggen made a charge. An unfounded, insulting charge and could be believed by someone new to the board.

A major difference is that "the pubic guy" had 5 witness against him, the primary witness passed a lie detctor, Thomas refused to take a test. The "underage guy" hasn't said anything.
Also if you're on the ball, you'll notice one of the cases has a completed investigation.
The other doesn't.

I will leave the criminal aspect up to the justice system, and the moral/ethical aspect to the court of public opinion.
And I was the first (and only one in this thread) to say Menendez should step up and tell his side of the events under oath......just like Anita Hill did.So wtf are you implying here? One was an accuser and one is an accused. In one case, we're waiting for an accuser to come forward. In the other case, the accused refused a lie detector that could prove he wasn't lying.
Have you figured out why you were the only person to say what you did?
You seem to be giving more respect to a 10-year old he said/she said allegation that is impossible to prove than to a recent allegation that could be easily proven to be true or false.
There were 4 other witnesses to confirm her story. She passed a lie detector test.
You over inflate Menendez's criminal exposure, especially if the allegations are bogus as you maintain, and possibly not even criminal at all as you opine.
Menendez is more likely to to be forced to step down; the same outcome that the Obama campaign hoped for against Romney and the left did against Thomas.
The Obama camp (and party Democrats) refused to disavow the false ad claiming Romney was responsible for a woman dying of cancer.......shameful leadership.....Obama is a piece of scum and he and the democrats deserve back what they dish out !
In the case against Menendez there is a set of contemporary facts and allegations on the table, a whole lot more than the Obama camp had in the 2001 phony lie about Romney and Ms. Soptic. A lie that the Obama camp knew was a lie but they proceeded to smear anyway !!!!!!!!! We don't know what the truth is regarding Menendez !
|
Since Clarence Thomas refused to take a lie detector test, he used his 5th amendment right.
Do you want a list of "Pants on Fire" lies by Team Romney?
I don't care whether you do or not.
The perfect gift.

Clarence Thomas understands how unreliable polygraphs are. Anybody who takes one doesn't have a clue....or watches too much TV. But the uneducated conclusion when one doesn't take one is that they are guilty, along with asserting one's 5th amendment rights. It's like the phrase ... "lawyered up" ... means to the ignorant, they are guilty.
