I will preface by admitting my bias for "natural". I certainly have seen some well done "man - mades" that I enjoyed, but all things being equal, I prefer natural.
That being said, I do want to caution that breast augmentation is a more serious decision than I think some women feel it is. Part of that is that the desire to feel better about one's self can be a bit blinding. Part of it is that young women are often quite healthy , and don't appreciate the magnitude of the operation and the potential limitations of corrective surgery if the first one does not work out. Part of it is that it is a cash business for the surgeons who have a financial incentive to promote the surgery. There are other reasons as well.
Just consider the fact that if the operation does not work out, the chance of getting a "normal" result through revision surgery is minimal. It can become a lifetime regret. Whereas ,all surgery has risks, this operation has a fairly high rate of failure, to the point that there are surgeons who specialize in just correcting breast jobs gone bad.
Even in good hands, the individual patient's body sometimes rejects the foreign body and creates irreversable scar contracture that is permanent, so finding a "good surgeon" is often not enough. It can be a bit of a crap shoot.
One of my friends and favorite ladies from out west had her first augmentation done after her breasts deflated from having 2 children and losing 70 lbs. It worked well, but after 5-6 years, loss of elasticity caused some mild deformity. She went in for an exchange and to tighten things up a bit. 3 operations later, she has extensive scarring and wishes she had never gone down that path. It has affected her self esteem and her business. She was a $500 per hour lady and her clients expected "perfection". She believes that she lost a lot of business and ended up changing her prices and location. Anyway, a cautionary tale. Not trying to put a damper on anyone's spirits, but want to make sure any decision is truly an informed one. Good luck either way Mary.....
