It seems, while obviously very sick with Ebola, stayed with Familly, sat in a Hospitol waiting room, and was at least in the same room with other people, all who had no protection what so ever from the contagion.

So, who gets ebola? Two nurses who by all accounts were wearing the very best in protection.

I think we have dodged a bullet. No other person that was in contact with Duncan seems to be ill.

So I guess that means we can hang out the "Ebola welcome" sign to all comers.

The account I heard is that the nurses treated him before he was diagnosed Ebola positive.

They weren't wearing the "best in protection" either. This is another lie of the Obama administration. Not "any hospital can treat this disease". There's only a few hospitals with a few beds that can "more safely" treat patients with the disease when the patient turns symptomatic. That's why they are being flown around the country. It wouldn't take much to overwhelm the Ebola response system. As far as I can tell there only one of those specially prepared jets that are flying the patients around the country.

That is because that is all they need at this time. I suspect that will be all they need. Had any of you Obama haters listened to the science you would have seen this successful conclusion too. "The Science" coming from you is rich. No, Obama said that the possibility of Ebola making our shores was "extreme small" just weeks before it hit the shores.

Then his CDC director said that "Any hospital with isolation unit can treat an Ebola patient." What happens? Two nurses get the disease and Duncan dies.

Then the CDC waits to whisk the nurses off (which they have the resources to do) to hospitals that can effectively treat the disease without the caregivers becoming victims themselves.

From what I read yesterday, the American Embassy in Liberia is still handing out travel visa.

No, this has more more to do with "competence" than "cost/benefit" analysis.

Was watching the latest episode of the Black List. They had a case of a biological agent in the form of a 700 year old version of pneumonic plague with an extremely high mortality rate. The difference was that they were competent. They had to call only one person to shut down airlines, stop flights, get a quarantine in place, and even get other countries to turn or divert planes with only a two hour notice. Like most TV shows this one was probably written last month and filmed three to four weeks ago. Maybe we should hire those people who seem to know what has to be done.
