Not because the food is shit that I can buy at the Restaurant Depot, if I wish, and no, their choice of bread isn't that great, so I have had no reason TO patronize them.
But now, I see them as what I figured, a business who is political first, customer service second.
Last thing I need is to worry about is if the illegal Haitian sweating over my order in the kitchen, is going to spit in my food because I have a MAGA hat on.
Because figuratively they just did that to a Vice Presidential candidate.
FUCKING STOOOOOOPID!

I do. As a right-leaning independent I only boycott them on Sundays.
And I boycott Primanti's when after they close but before they open

This isn’t complicated. It simply isn’t right to cater to democrats over republicans in a local establishment that touts the local sports scene, beer and funky food, not that it matters in a way it’s simply short sighted some may say stupid.
We all have choices we can make, I’ll simply not go to Primanti again.
I never cared for their food, any time I went there was to meet someone for beer. They have a good happy hour for beer their spirit drinks are so weak I won’t drink any there.
I’ll meet my beer drinking friends some place else. Have at it “Woke Primanti”

It's a private business. They can cater to whomever they want to, and refuse service to whomever they want to. You're free to not go back. That's how a free market works.
I can't blame them one bit for not wanting their good reputation sullied by catering to a couch fucker who intentionally spreads misinformation in an effort to harm people who don't look like him.

I agree, but I also think that this thing got blown out of proportion as has been the case in almost every conspiracy theory that our Red hat friends have promoted.
I hadn't heard anything about ownership's political position, let alone the managers - but I did hear that after a conversation, that Vance and his entourage were allowed into the restaurant and met with people both inside and out. But of course our GOP friends here would love to spend another conspiracy, where angry Haitians spit in food and serve you rooster blood and Creole potions to take away your mind. Hell after reading some of the yarns written here, I'm beginning to think that the minds have already been taken by another deity - the orange Marauder, the great pumpkin, the man who can't find enough junk-swag to sell ya, The Duke of double dipping, King cheato himself.
Now, there may also have been another option in play,- and that was perhaps someone looking to amplify a juicy story about silencing conservative voices. They alerted a morally flexible employee at primanti's, and offered them some substantial payment to make a scene, hoot n holler, " y'all ain't welcome here!", then relented. Just to grab some headlines for Mr. Eggs n Diet Dew Boy..thus a fire up them Patriots that live close by and all!
You know those red hat wearing fellas, who have lots of camo fatigues, and new tattoos that say we the people. That group just can't wait to fall in line for the boogaloo. Wouldn't that be something if this was all a ruse to get people pissed off?
Doesn't sound really all that absurd does it?
Cancel away friends. I still eat any place I like, and drink any beer I like, and I have even watched a football game when dudes kneeled vs stood during the anthem.
Vance has nothing to say really cept to tell rally goers that their vote is important and to make sure that their friends and family vote too. Even if the are legal Haitian immigrants with a green card.

I seriously doubt it.

The truth comes out

Looks like Tampon dispensers might be installed in the men’s room at Primantis!!!!!!
They better fire the CEO and get rid of his wife.
The original Primanti brothers are rolling over in their graves

Tommy summed it up just right the other day

But yeah. They asked same-day if they can shoot a photo op in their restaurant. The restaurant said no cameras. After seeing some more news stories, it seems like JD Vance's crew was agreeable to this. They didn't bring in cameras, through bought food, did a meet a greet with people inside, and did their photo op outside. Vance also paid the bill for people who were currently eating, too. That sounds reasonable. I still think he's an asshole, but that was rather reasonable what he actually did.
In a tangy twist of irony, it isn't the Vance crew that's making a scene out of this. It's the crazy MAGAs who are blowing this far out of proportion. It's yinz guys who are making a scene out of this. That's pretty darn sad.
Campaign crew asked if they could bring in cameras on short notice.
Restaurant refused to allow a camera crew in on short notice.
Campaign crew stops by, buys lunch, buys all the customers lunch, does photo shoot outside.
Stupid customers inside get upset that they did not get kicked out.
Stupidity rules the day, lads.

Kamala's team booked the entire restaurant. JV didn't.
Idk, I feel like the folks who hate Primanti's and are up in arms might wanna switch to Hunts, too. Start rooting for the Brownies. Hand in thier yinzer cards and stop review bombing on Yelp.
