I have never said unkind things about the poor. Quit making things up about me, CBJ7. And yes, Michael Moore is a hypocrite.

He portrays himself as a working stiff, but he is as Hollywood as they come. It's a facade. He hasn't done a day of blue collar work in his life, except maybe as a kid. The hoodies, the dirty ball cap, failing to shave or eat a salad, it's all just a game to him so people will buy his books and think he is one of them. He's Mitt Romney with a bad tailor.

Louie, it looks like your Michael Moore copy and paste in post #41 was intended to be a rebuttal to my previous post, where I pointed out that your statement in post #36 is flatly wrong. If that's the case, I suggest that you think about it for just a moment and try to actually comprehend what Moore wrote.
As I noted, the 400 wealthiest American families control about 3% of aggregate household wealth, not 50%. In approximate terms, that's clearly the case, as should be obvious to anyone. Yet what you said in post #36 was that the top 400 own half the nation's wealth.
What Moore said was entirely something else -- namely, that the 400 wealthiest have as much net worth as the poorest half of the population, many of whom have little or no net worth.
That's completely different from waht you said in Post #36.

I am going to Rio de Janerio and hang out on the Copacabana beach for week and try to figure that one out. See you in about 10 days.

Don't forget how Moore has stiffed the unions by shooting his "documentaries" in right to work states and also took a state kickback by filming some of his "documentaries" in Michigan. He avoids paying honest union wages and gets money back from his home state. He is grabbing with both hands.

We all know the Buffet rule is not designed to fix the deficit, it is designed to start the process of equalization. After the rule is in place then they can just increase the rate until until there are fewer rich people. This won't make any less poor people but will given government a chance to grow larger. It would take over 200 years of the Buffet tax to equal the deficit spending of one year of Obama.
The Buffet law is notihing more than lightly disguised socialism and vindictive legislation. Hell, they can't even get Buffet to pay his taxes now.
