Thank you SoftPlace for the very beautiful tribute. I only had the pleasure of meeting Nboy via PM's, but at least I had that pleasure. Peace Nboy.

Met Nitwit for the first time last week, actually he came to see me two days in a row. He had a awesome personality and actually he looked great. If he wouldn't had told me he had cancer I wouldn't even known. I am in shock, may he rest in peace and prayers to his family.

Only the Good Die Young
Wow. This is very sad news, indeed. I thought (hoped) that his treatment was working and he was going to be alright. I, like many here, didn't know him personally, but felt I knew him a little through the courage, honesty and humor in his posts. Now through the postings by others here, I know we lost an exceptional man to a horrible disease.
Thank you, Ms. Land, for your touching and heartfelt tribute.

I concur with BigPurdy andMister Tudball - it's amazing how what you post becomes how you're known since not many people on here actually meet each other. But you can see how he impacted our lives. I hope everyone here takes home the lessons of seeing your doctors, living life to it's fullest, and remembering that you can make an impact on the lives of others.
RIP nitwitboy

yeah ive been thinking about this all night, he and i shared pm's about my take no shit posting style and my boyfriend who passed away from cancer at 22 years old on new years eve 2009. This is really really sad for me because too many young ppl are dying from something we seem to not be able to control. just sad!

I like so many others never got to meet Nitwit. But our conversations in chat and through PM were always colorfull. I had just assumed he was doing better. This comes as a complete shock.
Even though I never had the pleasure to meet him, it is because of men like him that we can do what we do as Americans.
The cancer may of taken his life. But it did not take his heart or his soul. Rest in peace Nitwit. You work is done, and you did one hell of a good job.

May the road rise to meet you, May the wind be always at your back, May the sun shine warm upon your face, The rains fall soft upon your fields, and until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of his hand. We have Loved him during life, Let us keep him in our prayers.
Yes I too never met Nitwitboy, but the conversations we had about life and death and he was the reason that I went to get my first true Prostate examine a few weeks ago. Go in peace my brother for I know I will see you again.

RIP. We are truly a family here. A good friend of mine ( and SPTL) from these parts taught me that lesson when I met her. Just as in our real world families we grieve when one is lost, we grieve here.
That he was also a great person in his real world life just makes it all the more sad to hear.

I truly did not think things were this advanced. I didn't know him personally, but I've known you for a few years now dear SPTL, I'm sorry you lost a friend and sorry we all lost a comrade. As usual, your words leave little to add except thank you for sharing them.
RIP NWB, we hardly knew ye.

Thank you very much SPTL for your words and sorry for your loss of a great person and great friend. I regretfully did not have the privilege of meeting Nitwitboy but did enjoy his very unique dialogue and input . Sounds like someone who truly lived life to its fullest, even to the very end.
Nitwitboy, i'm sure this is a better place and many people are better off for your passing thru. God Bless and may you RIP.
