However, domestic policy doesn’t work this way. Decisions over job creation, aren't made by the president alone; they’re dependent on a ridiculous Congress, dominated by fools and charlatans, some of whom seem to want to hold the economy back on purpose. We all know all too well, Congress is ineffectual, caught in gridlock and extremism, unable to solve problems because of the severe partisanship. Nonetheless, the Obama administration has still strengthened the ability of Americans to challenge discriminatory pay, increased health insurance coverage for children of working-class families, invested more money in the social safety net than in past decades, cut taxes for middle-class America, extended unemployment insurance, and attempted to provide health care to tens of millions of uninsured Americans.
Nothing you've mentioned exceeds the accomplishments of the former Presidents mentioned above, and you are deluded by the Kool-Aid you are drinking.

How could anyone, even in jest, state that Obama's the worst President we've ever had? The President before him single-handedly dropped the ball so many times that most Americans forgot he was still playing the game. Hurricane Katrina and in his own words his lackluster effort in locating Osama Bin Laden will forever define the President Bush administration.
Government preparation and response to Katrina was more an indictment of a governor and mayor than a president. Had there not been a corrupt local government pocketing revenue meant to maintain the levee system, there wouldn't have been a serious problem in New Orleans.

You are right, Indulge, Obama's cronies cannot compare to other administrations who have allowed the looting of the treasury. Obama's cronies are truly in a league all their own when it comes to the theft of public funds. Thanks for pointing that out.

Did some research a while back on Katrina and here is the low down. The major malefactor was Governor Blanco. The Mayor of NO was begging for help when they met with Bush a few days after Katrina (and not weeks like they want you to think). The Governor met privately with Bush and she decided to wait a couple more days until she ask for help. Bush couldn't much of anything because of Posse Comitatus Act of 1878. The federal government must wait for the Governor to act before it can act.
The second malefactor would be Mayor Nagan. He delayed his evacuation decision for 48 hours after Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida had issued theirs. The plan for a NO evacuation was for the public buses (transportation and school) to load up and drive out of town. Problem is that after the delay Nagan didn't have enough drivers because the Governor (her again) had not yet signed the required executive order to allow unqualified drivers to drive the buses. So the buses drowned waiting for drivers.
The people of NO come in third for not getting out when they were told but then again they had been trained to allow government to do everything for them. When government failed so did they.
Bush comes in fourth. He issued a warning from Crawford 48 hours before the hurricane hit. The governor and mayor didn't listen. Bush didn't do what he had to do and the law be damned. Bush didn't make a point of telling the public what was going on even if it embarassed the Governor.

Almost every foreign policy victory Obama had was a continuation of Bush policy. Gitmo-Bush, the withdrawal from Iraq-on the Bush timetable (but he left room for a continued presence that Obama couldn't or wouldn't negoiate), OBL-Bush set the wheels in motion and created the infrastructure that finally found OBL. What in the world did Obama have to do with the Arab Spring (the Muslim Brotherhood spring)? Obama had a chance to bring down Iran and he refused to take it. The killing of OBL was a strategic failure. He should have been captured and we had him. The loss of the of the stealth technology was a strategic failure (why were we flying that far over Iran anyway?). Are you going to give credit to Obama for Kim Jong-iL dying? Sounds like your kind of logic. Things happen while a president is on duty which they have nothing to do with. We judge them by how they take advantage of those opportunities. Obama can't even decide what he wants for dinner much less how to challenge a head of state. Like Jimmy Carter we will be reaping this failure for decades to come.

Eisenhower had that advantage because of high taxes that were in place during his era.

High taxes, but who paid them? It was loophole mania back then. What happened was we hadn't had the "Great Society" and its progeny yet, where politicians learned they could buy votes with federal programs. It was the spending that was under control back then, just as it is the SPENDING which is now OUT OF CONTROL!

Save your time and effort. You're not qualified!

I hope you find a job soon. Have you applied for the janitor job at the local high school? I heard they have an opening.

And while I'm thinking about it, Merry Christmas!

Hell, I don't know why you "need a job." If you didn't need a job why is it almost time for you to submit an application for the "Community Organizer" position? You better HOPE nobody else applies for the CO job. If no one else applies, perhaps they will accept you, despite you obvious lack of qualifications. I suppose you do have a small degree of "HOPE" and will prove to be better than nothing in the eyes of those reviewing the applications. By the way, why are you submitting an application instead of a resume? Damn, are you still living in the 1970's?

As for my year, I have had a very good year. LIFE IS GOOD and filled with HOPE for the future! Thanks for asking!

Good luck with the job search! Over and out!!!!!

Obama's best "hope" to be re-elected increases considerably when you take a long, hard look at the comedians running for the Republicant nomination. There is not a winner to be found among the Snow White Romney and the 7 Drawfs (I sure miss Herman Cain) comedy routine!

After Iowa there should only be 3 or 4 comedians left to dine on one rancid piece of a 9 month old Republicant pie!

My prediction for the post Iowa options: Snow White Romney, Grumpy Paul, Sneezy Gingrich, and perhaps Dopey Perry. Of course you can always choose the none of the above option.

Which one do you prefer? If I were participating in the Iowa caucuses, I would proudly choose the none of the above option!
