I find it quite humorous that JDIdiot fails to see the irony of Republican elected officials who regularly campaign against government assistance programs by claiming such programs are shameful and morally debilitating. But that is only when it benefits others. When the 'gubment' programs benefits their personal family, they are all in. The more 'gubment' programs the merrrier!
Joni's campaign rhetoric about wearing plastic bread bags on her feet as a child to safeguard her pair of shoes, is little more than red meat to her faithful, knuckle dragging followers.
And JDIdiot happens to be one of the knuckle draggers leading the charge.
Drag on, Idiot!
Maybe it's because I grew up on a farm and, yes, my mother did try to put bread bag on my feet as well but I'd rather have wet feet than wear bread sacks. They were even new bread sacks as my father's other job was at a bakery (Rainbow). I grew up with people living around my family getting government handouts for not growing crops on some pieces of ground but they grew on every other piece of ground that they could plow. Still, some of them went under. Farming is that hard. I am reminded of the newsman Sam Donaldson who it was discovered owned a sheep ranch that was collecting a government subsidy for wool. A lot of money by most people's standards but for a program that goes back to World War I. How about that farmer Jon Bon Jovi of New Jersey. He has a "bee farm" that he gets a government subsidy for. The difference is (I have to point out what you will fail to see) is that Joni Ernst's father and uncle got the money, not Senator Ernst. If we want to condemn people for what their father or families have done....

And it is quite simple that this thread is about J. Ernest.
Yes, we know what this thread is all about.
It's all about the disparagement of and the dissemination of misinformation about a US Senator who has hardly had time to settle into her seat.
But, then again, that's all a part of the strategy, isn't it? Starting early. Get it out there...
If you tell a lie often enough and long enough it will eventually be accepted as truth. Right? The same thing happened to Sarah Palin. A statement that was attributed to her which was in fact just a line from a 'Saturday Night Live' skit. She never said it, but you guys sure believe she did.
Fact checking is a real bitch. Ain't it?
Even when it comes to the correct spelling of her name, "Ernest"!

So says a birther
How about we ask ole Jody is she wants to cut farm subsidies and see how fast her tune on small government changes.... I bet is changes faster than her bread shoes!

"Get it out there?" Threatening to release privileged information, gfe(forbidden topic), is a bigger bitch.
Get off your inverted barstool and consider the case of the last US Senator who was considered by sober Americans to be a certifiable crackpot the day he took office.
Canadian Cruz didn't disappoiint. Leopards don't change spots and hogs don't change testicles... She's the new Michelle Bachman and just loony enough to emerge as a running mate for a lunatic like the Canadian Cruz.
The only people who have to wait and see on her are the poor people of Iowa who have to bear the burden being represented by this total RWWhackjob. They have to wait and see if anyone but the GOP clown car caravan will ever take their state seriously again.
It's just amazing the same people that decry a war on wimmin are attacking Ernst simply because she is a woman. Yet they just love Shela Jackson Lee, Warren, Pelosi etc..etc.. and the host of other complete whack job lefties.

Seems most this board is about little more than bashing on politician or another, isn't it? What would you expect immunity for her?
As to spelling, I have acknowledged my limitations in that arena many times.
But back to your basic point: no politician who gets elected as a senator is a blank sheet. And you ignoring truths you wish to avoid is no worse than spreading lies. Neither is right. Sorry the data points I have from her early activity in DC don't fit the vision you want of her. Come to DC, wander the senate office buildings and get your own data points if you wish. I am still not sure why this politician seems to hit a hot button with you. It seems there is more to your concern than meets the eye. She sure isn't the first politician to be bashed on here, but I don't recall you having similar angst about it with others.
