Had to create a new handle.....

im jealous, have fun hunting!

QUOTE=bigtex;1056002061]I am leaving early next week for a Colorado (elk/mule deer) combo hunt. It looks like we may have received a break with the weather. Today's 10 day forecast for next week is hi's in the mid 40's and lo's in the mid 20's. For Colorado in mid-November that is damn near a tropical forecast.

The .300 Wby Mag is a couple of inches high at 200 yards. That's good enough for me. [/QUOTE]

bigtex,

I regularly hunt in Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Utah, and Washington with my 2013 102" Volvo Condo. Now luckily I haven't nailed one yet but I had a near miss last week in Missoula, Montana driving in the fog. Poor little 3-400 lb antler friend had to feel the gust of wind as I passed his arse hole. There were 5 of'em grazing right beside the shoulder there on I-90.

This will be my 6th Colorado elk hunting trip but the first with my son. That alone should make it memorable! I am looking forward to this trip more so than any of the others.

Just got back from Colorado! By their (November) standards we had a balmy week of hunting. There was only one day when the hi temperature was near freezing. The rest were fairly comfortable during the day but cold at night.

Our group brought back 2 mulie's and an elk! I'm ready to go again!!!!

For the most part the same group has been going up to the same general area for quite a few years. My son was the only rookie this year.

Our 4 wheel drive PU's can only take us so far. For the difficult climbs we do a combination of ATV and foot traffic. At my age, I prefer the former as opposed to the latter! Yep!!!!!!
