Dad just bought a VCR, one of those big heavy cranky ones with only 2-heads and buttons bigger than your finger.

It costed $800-1100.

$40 was a lot of money then but if you wanted to rent a movie at a video store, you had to leave $100 credit card deposit per movie and back in those day, not everyone had credit cards.

I didn't have one until after I got out of college.

If you wanted to buy any porn film on BETA or VHS, you had to pay as much as $100 for each one.

All those 3 ^^^ porn films are now classics and they are still available, even in 4K remastered Blu-Ray.

We had a movie theatre in the town I grew up that had gone from regular films to showing only X-rated 70s movies...all the classics. Went with some buddies after I turned 18 and here is the funny part:
The theatre must have been out of the letter "c" for their sign as they had the title listed as "Diary of a Shizo"
It was about a crazy lady who had sex with pretty much everyone she met. So for the longest time, my buddies and I used the word Shizo to mean Nympho.
