Trump Is Right: The U.S. Can’t Lose a Trade War
"The U.S. trade deficit with China was $375 billion in 2017. The trade deficit exists because U.S. exports to China were only $130 billion while imports from China were $506 billion"
let's say China puts a 100% tariff on 130 billion. that's now $260 billion, a drop in the US bucket. now what would happen to China if the US slapped a 100% tariff on 506 Billion? now that's 1.01 TRILLION.
you getting the picture now andy nazi? that would crash the Chinese house of cards economy, already propped up by the Government. ours is not. who wins under this extreme example?
WE DO U IDIOT.

Instead of you daydreaming $1.01 trillion by taxing 100% tariffs on all imports from China, we would get next to nothing because no one in their right mind would import any goods to the US directly from China. But don't tell me we can just get by without all those Chinese made electronics, machine and auto parts, and most of all the daily household items. So what viable alternatives are going to step in and fill the void? Vietnam? The Philippines? Or some shithole countries in Africa?
Perhaps we can manufacture them all by ourselves, but at sevenfold expenditure since the average hourly wage our workers make in the manufacturing sectors is as that much as their Chinese counterparts. Now instead of handing the Chinese our in all but name worthless "fiat currency" in exchange for their hard-labored products, the Fed would have to pump out seven times of that amount and dump all that monies into our domestic economy. Even idiots like you can't fail to see the picture here.
