No, I mean when America is energy independent, we are the wealthiest country in the world. As well as the safest country in the world. And every single one of us benefits from that.
My comment has absolutely nothing to do with making oil companies wealthier than ever. Whether you realize it or not, and obviously you don’t, energy (ie. oil, natural gas, coal, etc) is the basis of our economy. From growing produce from the ground on our farms (ie. fertilizer made from petroleum products) to the diesel that fuels our trucks to transport those products, the cheaper the energy cost, the cheaper our products are for each and every one of us. From the grocery store to the gas pump.
Until there are cost effective renewable energy products, that will not change.
We’ve spent billions of tax dollars on the “transition to electric vehicles” under Biden, but last count we’ve built a lonely, measly, sad 7 electric charging stations across the country for electric vehicles. Who’s responsible for heading up that initiative for the past 2+ years? They should be fired.
Blame the oil and gas companies all you want, but before you do, you should research how our economy works and what it’s based on in today’s world.
Question for you? Do you drink bottled water/soft drinks? If so, do you realize what that plastic bottle is made from?
