Sorry to break the connection, but I wanted to post something by him, he is a Texas Blues legend...

Thanks for the heads-up, Scooterpie.
Damn, that sucks.
I am a big fan of Stevie Ray, and I had heard about his writing collaberation with Bramhall Sr..
For those of you who didn't know (like me, for the most part), here are some SRV and Vaughan Brothers songs written, or co-written by Bramhall -- including the three that Scooterpie already pointed out (gotta luv wikipedia):
Dirty Pool
Lookin' Out the Window
Change It
The House Is Rockin'
Wall of Denial
Scratch-N-Sniff
Life by the Drop
Hard to Be
Long Way from Home
Telephone song
I had noticed that he was supposed to be playing at the Granada Theater on the 26th, too.

"Bramhall joined The Chessmen with
Jimmie Vaughan while in
high school. The group opened for
Jimi Hendrix when he played Dallas. In 1969, he moved to Austin and formed Texas Storm with Jimmie Vaughan."...........
That highschool was Kimball, btw

Bramhall's son is an amazing musician, too....One HELL of a guitar player.......and plays a right-handed guitar upside down (he's a lefty) -- without reversing the order of the strings. He is incredible on Roger Waters "In the Flesh Live" dvd....and does a great job of (mostly) covering Dave Gilmour's role. He has toured as a sideman with Clapton, and he is of course one of the members of the Arc Angels.
