... Yet-another Improbable Win by the Pirates - not with Skenes
pitching (IF Hayes can stop the ball) but, the comeback!
Even that Bender almost pissed it all away...

However - a nice win with a light-hitting patchel o' batters.
Let's see what happens Tomorrow! ... ...

Taylor of all people with a three run homer to win it. Grandal has been money the last two games. They won’t go away. The bad news is two more injuries. Cherrington better get off his ass and make some moves today.

Big news!!!! Pirates acquire Bryan De La Cruz AND Isiah Kiner-Falefa!!!!!
De La Cruz can play all outfield positions. 27, 250ba and 18hrs. Cherrington missed out on Chisholm but got his equally talented teammate. Kiner-Falefa is a super utility player. Think Josh Harrison. Can play all infield positions and has won a gold glove at 3rd. He’s played every position except 1st and Pitcher. 29, ba 292 and 6hrs. I don’t think Cherrington could’ve done better. Didn’t give up a top 10 prospect. Also, they didn’t trade any of their veterans to dump salary!!!!

The Bucs have proven that they’re serious about winning NOW. For those who are holding your breath, you can exhale now!!! LFG!!!!!

Edit: it’s being reported that the Bucs are trading Martin Perez to the Padres. He was expendable. This came in after the deadline

... Some Good News on the trade front! ...

And a good pitching game from Falter and the bats doing the job
yet-again. GLAD to see another homer from Taylor!

Let's get the sweep Wednesday! ....

They could have scored more runs. Stranded several runners in scoring position. Taylor certainly has turned it around like Telez. Hitting 300 in July and 3hrs. The new guys should be here today. Sweep the Stros!!!!

I was wrong. The de la Cruz pickup is a no brainer for the pirates. Has power and is cheap. The other guy is what surprised me. 2 year/15 mil contract.
Hopefully it pushes them into the playoffs.

I guess O’Neil Cruz forgot how to play baseball in Houston. He gave them the game last night wasting a good pitching performance by Woodford. Oh well. Big homestand coming up.

I’m pissed, my streaming service didn’t receive Sports Net tonight. Missed an incredible game and the PNC electricity. Pitching let them down tonight and Josh Bell had an incredible game. Two tough losses in a row. Oh well, let’s go this weekend. It will be happening.
It’s great for the city.

Quietly, Joey Barts acquisition looks like the Russel Martin acquisition.

Bucs lose another tough one. Shelty makes some questionable decisions. He yanks Skenes. He later goes to Holderman who’s been getting shelled lately. Up 4/0, lose 6/5. On the bright side, IKF made his debut. He’s a baller.

The bullpen has imploded. Can’t hold a lead. Bednar is shot and Holderman can’t get anyone out. They blew 4 games recently. Oh well.
