You all know that your vote isn't counted, right? Electronic voting machines. It's all a clown act, then the Biderbergers appoint the President. Wake up.

One would think that "you're not welcome" would be a simple thing to say.

I am at a loss to explain why Wylde seems to have difficulty with the simple things in life!

I suspect he frustrates the hell out of his 7th grade English teacher!

I thought this thread was about the Tea Party debate!

I do not sweat the small stuff and it is all small stuff.

I did frustrate my 7th grade English teacher. I hated grammar. That was a long time ago. Funny thing is in 8th grade I got an A. I have good years and bad years with it. I always scored above average on all the standardized test. Again that was a long time ago. So to diagnose the problem is if I care I will make sure it is correct. If I could care less then well I give you fools material.

You are not welcome and thank you very little.

But then, you said our troops were home at the time of the 9/11 attack, which is what didn't prevent the attack? REALLY? How many tens of thousands of American troops were stationed around the globe at that time? How many on ships in the Indian Ocean? How many Air Force personnel based in nearby countries?

How many successful foreign terrorist attacks were carried out inside the US prior to 9/11?

You think this was about not having troops in Iraq and Afghanistan? Is this Urinalysis, er, your analysis?

Exactly WTF are you trying to say with this because it reads like stereo instructions...
Yssup, I know it's a struggle at times, but try to keep up.
The point I was making is that it doesn't matter whether we have troops deployed, not deployed, occupying countries or not, as long as the United States remains a World Power, we will ALWAYS be a target for attacks.
Right now in more than a few locations, some wanna-be terrorists are being shown videos of our troops in Afghanistan, Iraq etc and are being told that THIS is the reason why they should blow themselves up. To get rid of the evil "occupiers". My point was that we weren't occupying Iraq or Afghanistan prior to 9/11 yet teams of terrorists were sent to attack us. Now, a whole new generation of wanna be terrorists are being told to attack us because of our current occupation.
The fact that there was no logical reason to attack us in 1993, to blow up our embassies in other countries, attack our ships or to attack us again in 2001 isn't part of the indoctrination process for these would be terrorists.

Even though we did NOT declare war on Germany or Japan after they began invading one country after the next, we were still attacked.

There will always be some nutcases or even entire Countries out there that, for whatever reason, decide that the "evil" United States is the problem. In my opinion, taking on those nutcases or Countries before they get a chance to strike or, making sure they pay the price for any strikes carried out against us, is essential for our Country to remain safe. So yes, I believe carrying the fight to Afghanistan has helped us disrupt potential future attacks. It's helped prevent them from setting up safe havens, training camps, logistics etc. Even in the tribal regions of Pakistan, where for years they felt untouchable, they now constantly have to stay on the move lest they find themselves on the receiving end of a Predator fired Hellfire missile or a Spec Ops team raid.

Those kinds of actions require that we keep troops overseas and bringing them home won't end the terrorists' will to attack us. Quite to the contrary, it will embolden them and provide them with the means, opportunity and time to plan and carry out further attacks.

That's because, from their perspective, there ARE logical reasons for attacking us.

Free Trade/Capitalism has brought America to their shores, and people in theocratic and/or Muslim states are not big fans of that. They didn't want Coke signs all over their country. They don't want pictures of the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders. They wanted to be reverent and pious or whatever, and basically the tendencies of the free market have said, "We're importing American culture into your nation, and there basically isn't jack you can do about it." They view themselves as being in this holy war because they see their worldview, their way of life, as antithetical to how we conduct ourselves, and we are forcing how we do things down their throats.

That's obviously an over-simplified view, as well as one big facet of a larger picture(Israel?), but the point is this: Terrorists, even 9/11 terrorists are not just faceless bad guys who don't like freedom, as Dubya would say. In their minds, they were acting rationally out of actual concerns and emotions. We will be a whole lot closer to getting out of this "War on Terror" paradigm if we try and understand the situation from both sides and not just demonize those who have hurt us.

Do you ALWAYS have to be such an ASSHAT? For the record, keeping up with you is no easy task...especially with your advanced "digital diarrhea."

But at least you find the time to condescend to everybody in an equal but separate manner!

I was merely pointing out the ramblification of your pronouncement; not to mention the incongrutality of your foilbe attempt at logicization.

That, and reading the post to which I'm replying confirms that you're confused. Pick a position... but not too much. It might not heal! (Or is that heel?)

YOW!

Now who can argue with that?

You're hijacking my thread! :blankgrin

How about something constructive and original about the Tea Party Debate?

We'll even cut you a little slack on the Hillbillibonics.
