No. It's not noteworthy. It's two totally different situations. It's noteworthy you don't know the difference between the cases

The Marine crossed the border into Mexico with firearms in his truck. He is subject to the laws of Mexico while there. Processing the guns is a crime in Mexico.

He was jailed for a crime committed in Mexico. Not an extradition event for US gov.

The little bastard and his mother committed crimes in the US and fled the country to Mexico. They committed no crime in Mexico. They were held (not in jail) by the Mexicans awaiting possible extradition/deportation back to US. We request extradition and they deport the subject.

Meanwhile, back in the US where mom is charged with a felony (in Texas), mom arrived in LA. She was extradited/deported to CA (in jail), by the Mexican authorities, where she is being held till TX comes and picks her up.

I believe the differences are ... how easily mom and next son will be returned, as opposed to the continuous and drawn out process of getting the Marine returned. .... whether one committed a crime (even an alleged weapons charge) in Mexico is not relevant ... in so far as the government obtaining his release.

You post like you think the judicial system in Mexico works like the one here!

Actually, that's the only thing "remarkable" in your post ... you "think" that!

Do you actually believe the Tarrant County Sheriff got Mom returned to the U.S.?
