There...that's my jet lagged input to this conundrum
however, this dodgy character in disguise (below) was spotted by security cameras in the terminal lounge at KL - the authorities are investigating this new lead.
btw, yes that's really at the KL airport...

SD2011,
As I was reading, I really thought that you were going to crack a gay joke about Ronald McD was going to the Greek isles with this dude.

First: A review of all the paperwork for the flight. Passengers, freight, fuel load.
Second: Range will be difficult. If the aircraft lost altitude, its range would be significantly reduced.
Third: 45,000'? Only a transponder being turned back on would provide that data and I'm not that sure a 777 could reach that altitude.
The 9/11 events were well planned out and simple. That's probably going to be the case here too.
I'd be examining all abandoned airfields in that area that would be long enough to accommodate a 777. A landing at night on an abandoned field would be very risky.

What will be so fucked up is if this was a terrorist plan and the 777 all of a sudden shows up on radar in a western country's big city trying to do a 9/11 similar attack. It sounds far fetched but holy hell that would be so fucked up

Best example I have heard-
Finding a plane in the geography they are searching would be the same as finding a person between NY and California
Its alot larger than it appears. I am still going with military shot it down and is a cover up excuse

It seems now they are saying that the aircraft must have landed before they lost all signal to it. So hopefully the good news is that it didn't crash but still where in the world is this 777.

Where did you read that?
I'm not aware of any aviation or security expert who considers that more than a very remote possibility.
Specifically, where in the world do you think the pilot(s) in control could conceivably have landed the aircraft?

I realize that conspiracy theories abound, but if you've been paying attention it should be obvious to you by now that you need some different sources.

Read the 5th paragraph, I dont think its any conspiracy theory.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...-time-off.html
Also just see ccn
http://www.cnn.com/2014/03/16/world/...html?hpt=hp_t1
See quote"Flight 370 took off from Kuala Lumpur at 12:41 a.m. March 8. The last satellite communication from the plane occurred at 8:11 a.m., Najib said, well past the scheduled arrival time in Beijing. It is possible this contact could have been made from the ground, as long as the airplane still had electrical power, Malaysia's civil aviation chief Azharuddin Abdul Rahman said Sunday"
Hope that helps

Once again, where in the world do you think the aircraft could conceivably have landed without being detected? It was noted in the CNN piece and elsewhere that it couldn't have penetrated Indian airspace without being painted. So there's no way it could have made it to Pakistan or anywhere else in the region. Also, I already mentioned the virtual impossibility of other options.
And Malaysia's civil aviation authorities are not the least bit credible.

If I knew where it landed, I would be on TV however I am only throwing out what the authorities on the ground are saying and asking the exact same question that I asked at the jump--- where on earth is the 777
