"he can only apear smart"
Here's some constructive criticism. If you're going to attack someone's intelligence, at least try to spell properly. It's appear not apear.
I've been listening to Glenn for several years. He's extremely smart. Do you actually think you're smarter that him? Seriously? He's got his own publishing company. He's a pioneer in taking his show to the internet. He's written several best selling books. He's staged several hugely successful rallies in DC and Israel.
Glenn isn't everyone's cup of tea. He's emotional and certainly highly opinionated, but he is not dumb.

No one remembers the 60's. Not if you were there.

Not sure whether "smart" is the correct term for Beck. Now, he's definitely quite good at being a hustler and a self-promoter.
COF, speak for yourself about the 60s, some of us can multitask.

That seems reasonable; a lifetime of accomplishment overturned by a single mistake. By that standard, no one is intelligent. Here's a video of your hero Obama demonstrating his awsome intelligence.

Just so you'll APEAR smart, joe, I'll make the corrections to your post here so you can change them before anyone else catches them.
"Smarter than him" should be "smarter than he" (is).
"Internet" is not spelled "internet".
Try a little more lenient approach next time. You know what they say about people who live in glass houses.
Glenn Beck may be of slightly above average intelligence but I doubt it. In addition, he has no filter between his brain and his mouth.

I suppose I am showing my age but I always enjoyed watching Walter Cronkite! He reported the news as it was supposed to be done!
If you are resourceful enough, you should be able to find old clips of his reporting style!

Kayla your original question asked about news shows. Most of these are not news shows but opinion shows. So let me ask our lefties, do the NEWS show on Fox lie all the time? I'm talking specifically about Brit Hume, Chris Wallace, and the like.
Now comparing Glen Beck to Ed Schultz or Keith Olbermann is rediculous. This comment about Sandra Fluke being a slut is maybe the worst thing he has ever said about another person. Compare that to Keith "twat" Olbermann or Ed "radio slut" Schultz.
You can learn something from watching MSNBC kind of like watching someone throw up. Don't eat the seafood surprise.
