WS and Jada have had a open relationship for years. Will smashed Eva Mendes and Margot Robbie while he was with Jada. Jada just made her shit with August Alsina public. Thats an arrangement the agreed upon so they both get to deal with the fall out. IDK if that shit with Cris Rock was stagged or not....but if that was my SO and I stuck with her after all the bullshit, I probably would had slapped the fuck out of him too. (I'm also guessing CR didn't know about her health issues) Maybe not live onstage, but on the next break I would have made a trip backstage and had a coversation with him.
Secondly a grown ass man slapping another grown as man is a sign of disrespect. If it was backhanded it would have been the ultimate bitch slap

Chris declined to press charges (which was the right and manly thing to do), so no point in arresting the guy. No longer being a member of the Academy and being the laughingstock of Hollywood is sufficient punishment for his actions.
Remaining married to Jada might even be considered “cruel and unusual”.

The cases I remember where that happens are women who are being abused, where they have reason to fear the accused. Will doesn’t fit that type, and the nature of the crime doesn’t demand that kind of action. So, no, I can’t see them doing it in this case.
