You're right, CBJ7. We had no right to know about Watergate. It was devastating to national security. And Iran Contra, we certainly didn't need to know about that.
You're right. The only things government should tell us are, "You don't need to know that," "Remember how good you have it and shut up."
We'd all better off if we trusted our government more, even if they have proven untrustworthy.
Thanks for clearing that up, CBJ7.

You forgot some:
Travelgate
Whitewater
Castle Grande
Filegate
Billing-gate.
And then there's that whole Vince Foster thing.
Oh, and Cattlegate.

The documents are being held from Congress, not the general population, by executive order. Are you saying that we cannot trust Congress with top-secret documents? Really? If not, how do the appropriate all that money for top-secret defense systems, operations, new monies for new super-duper top secret facilities, agencies or sub-agencies and the like without peeking at top-secret, national defense documents?
The House Oversight Committee voted to hold Holder in contempt. The White House is shielding him by trying to cover up the documents that may, but then again may not, incriminate Holder.
Neither the ATF nor Holder have the most stellar reputations.
I absolutely cannot blindly defend someone that is in the wrong just because they are liberal or a conservative. They either are right or wrong. Covering up the debacle makes it seem there may be more to the story than there appears on the surface. It certainly is just one more instance of Obama’s disregard for the actual laws of the United States and influence peddling.

Unless it involves Hillary Clinton. Then you'll not only defend her, you'll even go so far as to vote for her.

CBJ7, I'll let you know after we see the documents.
And BTW, Olivia has the most intelligent post in this thread so far, except for mine, of course.
