There's a whole lot to be said about someone's "Comfort Level." I canceled a session once with a hobbyist the day of the appointment...because after a week of emails going back and forth...he called and asked about my donation over the phone. I told him I do not talk about donations on the phone, but he kept talking about it anyway.
Now, to some providers...probably not a deal breaker, but for me...that's breaking a major rule, and it gave me the impression that he never took the time to even look at my ad and what it said. That jesture put up red flags everywhere...and in an instant, I went from feeling excited to feeling very anxious...and that was that. He may be a very nice man...I'll never know, because he just didn't put himself in my shoes.
