Perhaps you should read the actual words in the guideline

#12 - Respect the posted "Image Standards" which apply to our public coed forums. (including Showcase) In short, images which depict subjects which are topless are allowed, but below the waist nudity which displays exposed genitalia or images depicting pornography are to be avoided. Additionally, posting URL links to external sites depicting pornography is not permitted. (use RTM to report images which you feel may not be in compliance)

"Images are to be Avoided" yet does not specifically say in private messages.. Which leads one to believe that means in full public view which private messages are not in since it is after all posted in the public guidelines.

Seems someone's comprehension skills are lacking and it is not mine. If you paint with a broad brush without addressing each specific variation then getting around such lackluster rules will be easy for some.

And just on a random cursory search I found 37 showcases which seem to violate the rule as it is stated. And no I did not RTM them since it was after all just a cursory search.

In short no, not even close to the same general rule violation as they don't have their genital area as the main subject of the actual picture, nor is it easily noted,,, we allow as much leniency as possible when it comes to our members,, they are (when found in violation of our guidelines) given ample time to fix the picture, it is only when they don't respond that further measures are warranted.

This is sort of a big ol' board, 231,000 + as of today, so staff does rely on the membership for tips when they see anything they deem not in accordance with our guidelines,,, if you find something that makes you blush we would greatly appreciate being made aware of it.

Please explain what you consider naively hypocritical sir... you were given an exact explanation of why advertisers may show what they do in their ads, so you and the providers don't have to pay to use the site. This is the official stance on this subject for this site. These sites are big business, and we do all we can to absorb or spread out the cost (we do use a considerable amount of bandwidth, have extensive security and software expenses) so that our members do not have to spend their hard earned money to use our site. The advertisers are not members, in the pure sense of the term, so, in truth, they are paying for you to use this site. Do you really have a problem with that? If so perhaps you would be happier on a site that charges for it's use so you aren't so offended.
