I worry for her safety, but it has little impact on my decision to see her. I have my own screening (which consists mostly of making sure that I know the lady's rates and services, and then ensuring that nothing is said between us that associates service with rates). If the lady tries to discuss what she's going to do for her rates, then it's over. She's either stupid or working with LE, so she's now on the DNS list.

Well this post is appropriate for my first post ever. I run into this due to the fact I only participate in the hobby while I’m single so sometimes I’ll see several providers over a few months and sometimes it’s months and even a 3 year stint between outings. It’s not easy trying to get a reference to remember you over long periods of time and with the exception of 1 provider I saw in September the most recent encounter was before the shut down. Those providers don’t even have accounts now. I always ask for newbie screening if the provider offers it and I always find it weird that some won’t even go through with that just because I’m not trying to be s cool kid on these forums with tons of activity. So I ask around and see who’s willing.

Well, I am technically a newbie by the standards most use. I am a very infrequent hobbyist, take long breaks, and often don't review who I see. Currently, my last session was in April with a provider I do not think is around any longer, and it has been a while since my last review. I also think it is a breach of etiquette to list a reference you have not seen in a long time, so I have no references I can use right now. So, I would have to look for newbie-friendly providers if I wanted a session.

I just had an epiphany. If someone is a long time or infrequent hobbyist but has no references, he knows how the game is played. if he has a history of seeing actual legit providers, he knows what kind of providers can be trusted with limited personal information to get screened.

Just find a nice, established, respected provider, pony up the info she wants and get on with it.

I think you miss read the entire thread. The OP said, and others chimed in, that they won't do newbie screening for someone who's been around a while but doesn't have references. For some of us we hobby too infrequently to keep a roster of references. Providers will refuse to screen you, and that's their choice. People like me were just saying that there is a reasonable explanation why I don't have current references.

I've also heard that when the site came back up, some hobbyist and providers lost their "encounters posts". However. Not really sure how true that is. Lol.

NO, my reading comprehension is fine, but maybe I was not clear enough. We ladies are hesitant to believe guys who have been around and claim to be newbies but have no references. It seems like an excuse not to give up references because there is a problems with said references. However, most ladies will offer to screen you by other ways like employment verification, public data, etc.

If a guy has really been around for years, but doesn't have recent references, then he knows who the legit players are and who can be trusted because she has years of not breaching trust behind her. Normal guys who see established, trusted providers usually do not have a problem giving personal information. Quite frankly, many of those providers have clients who know plenty about their real world lives - so it's even.

That said, if someone hobbies very infrequently and always wants to see the flavor of the month, then my comments do not apply.

Exactly - don't believe that one...at all. But I get that guys want to "reinvent themselves" at times...but then they have to pay the related consequences!

I’ve been on ECCIE for a while. There was about a 6 month stretch where I only went to AMPs. When I started contacting ECCIE women again, there were a few who wouldn’t see me because I didn’t have any recent references. I tried to explain that I wasn’t really a newbie, but some providers have safety standards that they won’t break. Can’t blame them for playing safe.

I don't think the original scenario is that hard to believe or understand honestly. I don't find it that far-fetched that someone may have joined the board, but may have gotten a slow start, cold feet, or is kind of hesitant to jump in. For a lot of guys this is not a trivial decision. It can really take some time to build up the nerve to engage if you're new to this. Not to mention the dangers and legal risks that are potentially out there. There may be some playing a game, but I can also see legit reasons for what the op described.

With all due respect, you're missing another point that has been made on multiple other threads. I am a long time member with reviews, but I have no references. I'm not even close to being a newbie (joined ASPD in 2001), I've had quite a few encounters and have done a few reviews (lots if you count ASPD) with some fairly well known ladies at the time. But I haven't done a review in nearly 3 years, and probably about that long since I saw a lady from here (CD3 was probably the last). Even if the ladies could remember me, even if they were still active here, most ladies wouldn't even accept them. FWIW, I've had several SBs/FWBs over the last 3-4 years and so those needs have been satisfied elsewhere.

So, to all intents and purposes, I am a newbie, someone with no [usable] references. So how would I be wasting your time if I chose to try and see you?

And Gina, I had P411 when it first started. The advertised point at that time was that THEY pre-screened you so you didn't NEED to give references. Somewhere along the line that changed a bit, and now you have to have Okays as well. Once that happened I stopped renewing as I just wasn't using it enough to get that many OKays.

It matters to me. I'm relatively new here, but have seen 4 providers in 3 months (only 2 from eccie and one of them is inactive right now). So I only have 1 usable reference and no encounter/reviews.

I had a new SB arrangement that I was very happy with. Then eccie reopened and she decided to advertise here. I didn't expect her to be seeing only me because I knew her financial needs.
She told me about eccie so I checked it out. So then I asked her what she did to screen clients. Basically she did no screening. Had her business phone number listed, worked strictly from texting, and was using her apartment as an incall.
I actually liked her very much and the sex was the best for me ATF. The no screening was a deal breaker for me. As hard as it was, I broke off the arrangement.
I don't think you can install a revolving door on your place of residence and consider yourself even remotely safe in this world. You also endanger anyone close to you.
