I'll prove all of you wrong that whatever he says won't do and we'll continue down the path of added debt and out of control spending. But I guess that spending will be OK because Cheney and Reagan said deficit spending were good for the economy.
And ladies and gentlemen, this is why there is no hope for America. Partisan politics always trumps common sense and doing the right thing.

Not sure what your point is, ICUP. Was that directed at my post? If it was, please clarify and I will try to explain.

So I guess what you're saying is that the entire Democratic Party and everybody BUT the Republicans were in league to put a foreign born, Muslim, academic fraud drug pusher in the White House?
MAKES PERFECT SENSE!

As much as I don't like it I can see why the Washington establishment would not want to go there. Try to keep up.
If Obama suddenly became a non president what happens to every bill, every executive order that he signed, every nomination, every regulation that his people issued? They would all be null and void. Hillary would not be secretary of state, 1000 EPA regs would be vacated, Obamacare would not be law, and two Supreme Court Justices would go back to their day jobs and those decisions would be reversed. Imagine the chaos that would happen. Nixon resigned to save the country from a minor occurence like that. Nixon also refused to challenge the 1960 election results for the same reason. I can understand why many in Washington would want to avoid that. We have so many lawyers who think that a plea bargain is preferred over an extended trial serving today.
And you said:
It would make me feel much better about the future of our country if Obama was voted out of office, rather than removed for some irregularity. The fact is, polls show that at worst, Obama is the preferred candidate of at least 45% of the population. The real figure is probably higher. That's a lot of people that prefer handouts and government control over liberty. That won't change even if Obama is removed as non-citizen
And what I read was that both of you were OK with Obama remaining in office even if he was a non-citizen because the chaos that would ensue would be too much of a hassle. If you want to explain, go ahead, but I'm just interpreting what both of you said.
My point is that if there is a smoking gun, it's easy for the GOP to make sure no Democrats win elections for the next 20 years, yet they are not, which means that the story has no legs and therefore they can't take any action. To justify the inaction of the GOP, I assume you and JD said that no action was better because it would be too inconvenient, even though Boehner would slide right into the White House.
Really? You can put one of your guys in the White House and don't take advantage of the situation? Come on, I wasn't born yesterday.

Ok. My point was that we need to address the attitude of the people that would elect someone like Obama in the first place. And just to clarify further, I'm disgusted with a system that every four years gives essentially a non-choice. In 2008, it was McCain or Obama. Really? Now in 2012, it is Obama or Romney. Again, really?
That's why if Obama is removed from office for being a non-citizen, it does not change the root problem, which is what got him there in the first place. The problem goes much deeper.
I know the parties are controlled by essentially the same cabal. I also understand that elections are primarily for show, and in the end, nothing really changes. We steadily move away from freedom, and toward tyranny, regardless of who is in office, or which party controls congress.
You can see it here on this board, ICUP. If Obama was discovered to be a non-citizen, many on here would not care. They are so into the personality cult, or dependence cult, or safety cult, that that information would not change their minds at all. That is what scares me.
Yes, I come out against Obama more than Romney, probably because Obama is in office, and his actions are clear, at least the ones we know about. And as I have stated before, I think Romney may slow the slide just a little bit, and I hope the Liberty Movement would take that lull in our descent to try to mount a campaign to dethrone both political parties. No, I don't expect that to happen, I'm just hoping for that tiny chance.
So when I say I would rather see Obama defeated electorally, it would just be a small sign of hope that maybe people are seeing him for what he is.
Of course, then we'd be stuck with Romney. We'd have to convert him to Liberty, or work to give real leaders a real chance to be heard. That won't happen with Obama in office. It is damn unlikely to happen if Romney is in office. But a 99% chance that it won't happen is better than a 100% chance it won't happen.
But no, if Obama was proven to be a non-citizen, I'd support removing him from office, and dealing with whatever the consequences are. I just would rather see the public have a change of heart from "Give me and protect me" to "Let me live free". Removing Obama from office for being a non-citizen does not address that deeper issue. Defeating him at the polls may give us a chance to turn the country back.
No, it's not going to happen. But when my grandkids ask, "Papa, did you do anything to stop this?" I will be able to say, "I did all I could."

Assup, didn't you see the "Star of Kenya" stopping over the site where Obama was born? And the Three Wise Guys, Teddy, Harry and Nancy bringing him gifts of oil, defense contracts, and food stamps? Then when King Trump threatened to expose him, they secreted themselves to Hawaii.
And the child grew in communism, fascism and the hatred of God and freedom.
Then when the time was right, he was elected President, with very little examination of his background, for yea, the books were all sealed.
Thus the prophecy was fulfilled, "With the mind of a child, he will lead them."
It was in the Holy Writings, Assup. Didn't you read them?

Once again something I really don't give a fuck about.
The election is getting closer and we should focus on the record of Obama and his plans for the further destruction of America.
