I'm not quite sure what your point is (I've checked your previous comments) and I hope you not are being facetious.

But the summary is:

- for those who can afford it, the US has the best medical care in the world

- it is a different story for those who cannot afford the best

- health is more than simply a medical/emergency care issue. Preventative health, diet, obesity, overall fitness, etc. etc.

- the health care on average is very poor compared to other industrialised countries

- the medical care is greatly over priced, per capita costs are far higher than other countries (see above WHO reports)

- much great medical research is done in the US and many other countries, and the results of that research benefits people worldwide. Some companies benefit greatly financially, but there are many other institutions which carry out important research which are not profit driven.

So, is there a problem, and what is the Republican suggested solution?

Still waiting.

Why would I have you on ignore, Nonsence? It's funny to read how proud you are of being ignorant.

So you haven't yet worked out an intelligent response to the World Health Organisation's damning statistics on US health care?

Ranked 24th in life expectancy? That's really something to be proud of, since apparently US has the best health care in the world.

Plus US is top, by a big margin, on per capita costs.

Explain that.

Somehow, I really don't find the necessity, within myself, to respond to any inquiry you may make. Do what you do best. Make up a response for me, knock it down, and then congratulate yourself on how far superior you are to this typical Yank.

You'll do that anyway, I just saved you some time.

The life expectancy is not necessarily a good indicator of how good healthcare is or isn't. Americans love indulging in horrible, unhealthy food, drugs, and sex. It's not the doctors fault we are an overindulgent, obese society that inhales and ingests every known chemical and biological substance that slowly kills us in order to have fun or save a few bucks so we can do it all again or have more of it.

Health care is care of health, whether by medical operations and treatment or by changes in lifestyle.

Exactly, both can determine how long we live. I thought you were trying to use the life expectancy as the sole determining factor to rate the level of healthcare found in American hospitals and with our doctors, which, one cannot do.
