We are all full of ourselves at one time or another, I think this could be a small way to say..... uh no, take another look. if you can only hit the button ONCE then you wouldn't be able to make a huge wave one way or another. (they could hit the LIKE button multi times?) But hitting it just once per person could have an effect on the sensible people.

It would not tell the self-centered ones that they aren't the top dog in the whole community. So I guess this is hopeless. But just a thought

Hitting a button with no response IS NOT COMMENTING

Again you have missed my point, I didn't say she would use the button in that manner, but she was pointing out those that would. As for how many times you can hit the button depends on how many different IPs you can get (Logging in as a Guest). Now I did say your button would be fine if it required a comment, that if someone dislikes my comment I at least get a idea WHY and have a chance to discuss it (after all THIS IS A DISCUSSION BOARD for information exchange) and if you agree with the the comment for dislike then my all means hit their LIKE button, which would show you agree with that reason to Dislike the post!!!

IMO... this Don't Like button crap comes from the whiners perspective that jump into threads and cannot present logical reasons for their arguments....
