Your momma didn't raise no fool. She seems like a keeper even if there is what seems like a shout out to the 101st in her showcase. It's not their fault they were switched to being Air Mobile.

I'll even "Pet Sit" for you when you leave town.

Doing that never was an issue until I took a 2 week leave............and ran twice................for about a mile each time. Only have to do that once to learn never to do it again.

Air Mobile! That's another thing she and I have in common! (I was never assigned to the 1-0-Worst, errrr 101st, but we were cosidered Air Mobile the entire year I spent with the Third Herd)

That is the problem right there.

The majority of Republicans believe this fallacy.

Let say just for a minute this is true. Then wouldn't it stand to reason that we should cut tax rates to 1%?

Of course not! Nobody in their right mind thinks that. That is your problem, you have been taught a bald face lie.

Note: That employee has now asked for less hours so she can spend more time with her live in boyfriend who does have a fulltime job and pays all of her bills. Anything she earns she plays with. At the video store or at bingo. She just got back from a cruise in the Caribbean and goes down to Pensacola at least every 2 months for a 3-4 day weekend. On the cruise she won $1200 at the casino and later that night they ran up a $1000 bar tab. Give me a break. The youth of our nation want instant gratification and are not willing to save for anything. She saves nothing for a rainy day. She wants to only work 2 days per week instead of the 40 hours she now works. As far as her income taxes, sorry, she's pays none. Repeat none. Her withholdings last year she got back more than 5 times what she paid in. That's how she paid for the cruise. Live for the moment and the next party.

That's sad. There really ought to be more emphasis on learning to save $ in public schools. Or at least learning the value of hard earned money.

I used to come to Austin when I lived in Houston.. pre (ch)air assault days.
(yes, it's air assault now. The one and only choking chickens.. err, I mean screaming eagles)
When I ETS my plan is to move back to Texas to use the Hazelwood Act or My GI Bill to finish up my degree.
Considering Baylor (Houston) or UT (Austin of course)

So she told you all this today? Yesterday she needed food stamps and today she is a binge drinker. What about her kids? What was she doing for day care? Why do you give her extra days off?
Wait, forget it. You know too many of the wrong details. Good luck with your anecdotal “employee”.

Is the 101st still attached to 18th Airborne Corp (Sky Dragons)? I was in the Corp MPs (118th at Bragg) After you go to your first domestic disturbance call you know whether or not you'll be a cop when you get out. I'm a technical instructor

Oh I believe it. My wife's sister is a dancer and has 3 kids by this one guy. This guy is a developer who lived in a million dollar home and drove a $90K car for the first three years I knew him. Great Texans and Rockets seats. They lived apart most of the time.

He's broke now. All his high end houses the bank took back because the market dried up. He's not a big Obama supporter. One of the children had emergency surgery at a county hospital (which was actually pretty nice) because he doesn't have health insurance.

The kids have Medicaid now. The mother got a nice big tax refund check even though she claimed $12K in income last year. She's online gambling all the time. I bought her Tahoe and occasionally drive her into work. She's got a nice little system down were she's paid a lot in cash.

Fortunately she is very attractive.

An attractive dancer mother with 3 kids. The father pays no support and has no health care insurance. He is bitter and blames others for his problems that were brought upon him by unwise decisions he made and poor lifestyle choices.

Up to this point, most conservatives would assume I am talking about someone from the hood, not someone from River Oaks.

You more than most should understand the need for good social services for the economical disadvantaged. Emergency services at county hospitals would be greatly reduced by the republican plan. They don’t give a shit about your wife’s sister’s kids

Your wife’s brother in law lived in a million dollar home but didn’t own one. He drove a 90k car but didn’t even own a Yugo. Went to Texan and Rocket’s games but didn’t buy a 10 year health care policy for his kids when he saw the end coming. Since the stock market pretty much has had a steady rise since Obama became President, your brother in law didn’t have his money there. Construction in downtown Houston has been booming for some time now. I know that because I was installing control systems in the buildings, the most recent being the Hess Tower.

Bottom line is that he lost everything in 2 years and is now a deadbeat dad. A me-first guy that threw his kids into a safety net full of holes, holes that continue to enlarge.

Glad to hear the child is OK and that all 3 have Medicaid.
Please remember who would cut that aid off without a second thought.

Yes with limited funds....I vote we spend more on kids and less on the soon to be dead. Call me practical.

And I am way closer to being dead than I am a child.

Tough choices are just that.

You got a better ideal with limited funds?

I did not think so.

You're way off on the Dad. He's been paying more than what was legally owed in child support and used up his personal fortune to keep his company and employees afloat.

Funny, In downtown Houston at street level and in the tunnels, I do not see business picking up. In fact, many places that have been in business for 15+ years are OOB. But my next door neighbor, who has been doing houses for 10 years, gave up his business to train in fire suppression systems.

Thanks for the well wishes for the child. He is doing fine. I don't think many would like to cut off Medicaid without a second thought (other than WTF)...its cutting back on Medicaid.
