Good post, hope you'll hang in here on the board. Like I said before, you might want to cut the conservative posters some slack. A lot of them are small government types, but for some reason very reluctant to criticize President Trump and big government Republicans on any issue. Some may be confused, and more may be thinking about lessening the damage -- if Democrats sweep the election then the federal government is likely to become even bigger and more screwed up than it is now.
I would love to, but that would mean having to give up that income I earned to old Uncle Sam so he can pay for your government pension, welfare, and social security.

Give me back my money.
Didn't Trump give you 1200 bucks?

It's the younger generation of so-called Conservatives that have been indoctrinated by fear mongering business interests. Is there such a thing as a political conservative?

I recently saw the movie version of Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged. My impression was it is an Authoritarian's wet dream. Of course the book is always better.

From the "sophisticate" YSL.

You're totally right. God forbid the Dems get back into office. But it wouldn't be surprising with how the Republican party has been handled.

I've got a couple of Libertarian friends who view Atlas Shrugged like the Bible. I've got no idea. I tried to read one of her books or watch one of the movies and quit after about 5 minutes. She was a lousy writer. I think she was more of a philosopher than an economic thinker.

She did like to bang much younger men. It's rumored she tried to seduce Alan Greenspan, and he would have none of it. Not to criticize, a lot of us like to bang younger women.

Maybe someone who actually knows something about her can chime in. I don't know much.

Yes, like most Americans of Jewish descent, he probably has a huge "mind."

I wonder what those Libertarian friends of yours would think of my description.

Might I recommend The Personal History, Adventures, Experience and Observation of David Copperfield the Younger of Blunderstone Rookery.

There's economic theory and social criticism in it.

Probably not my cup of tea. If it's fiction there needs to be some kind of boy fucks lots of girls plot to keep me interested, like Love in the time of Cholera or the Unbearable Lightness of Being. And if it's not fiction then a few equations.

Oh there's fucking alright. The Victorian way. Hyper British modesty. Not for you.

I just read a perfect line from George Bernard Shaw.

I think Conservatives are finally realizing the truth. But nobody is laughing.
