Never get into an argument with a fool. Sometimes you can't tell who it is.

You all are part of the problem and why the polarization is almost to the point of no return.

Obama sucks and is an idiot.

Bush was worse and he wasn't smart enough to be called an idiot.

Assholes spend 16 hours a day waiting for Obama to do or say something so they can portray him as a man of minimal intelligence.

Oh, accurate description of the liberal media covering Reagan, W, Palin, Bachman.

Are you serious? I could go on and on, but why? No one wins in a pissing contest, they just get pissed on.

No one is willing to concede anything and you keep trying to one up each other on who's worse. Let's face it, as of now Bush's eight years pretty much top the list on the number of sheer fuckups, especially big ones like Iraq and Katrina. Invading Iraq had a direct affect on gas prices going up in parts of his time in office, but not all of it can be attributed to that or him. No president will ever break his vacation days record.

I'm disappointed in Obama and his compromises as much as I am with some of his decisions. He's not turning us into a socialist country, nor is he destroying America. He's not responsible for the recession, but has helped in getting the economy much better than it was when he took over. He's not responsible for the gas prices, which peaked and have gone down and the national average is 3.66/gal, 3.55 to 3.63 in TX, according to AAA. Personally, I believe he came in too early and think Hillary would have been a better choice. But, he's our president and looking for every little thing to bash him on, like Whirl, is counterproductive. If you're so obsessed with him you have to count the number of golf rounds he's played after having a prez who took more time off than any in history, you may be the one with the problem.

I'm personally sick and tired of Fox News constantly blaming the liberal media for so many things, while at the same time giving misleading information and having, stupid, completely false statements by the group on Fox and Friends and Glenn Beck. Those who follow Fox as fair and balanced have adopted the sound bite. Also, the hatred and disdain opinions of Beck and Hannity and some of the ludicrous things these two say, a Mormon and a Catholic, is troubling because many of their followers take what they say as Gospel. They aren't reporters so they don't have to be honest with facts. They're commentators/entertainers who give opinions, as Beck flat out admitted to after lying about, and to, of all people, the women of The View. Just to make Whirl happy, here's a link to it and it's funny how when Babs tries to move on, beck can't stop trying to defend himself. This was no doubt posted by one of his followers as it's titled "Glenn ambushed on "The View" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csTS7...feature=relmfu
Part II he gives his opinions left and right. Fox's firing Beck was no doubt due to his falling numbers and that, in my opinion, is a direct result of his going so far off the right that all who could continue to watch him were his hard core, devout followers and fringe teabaggers.

I haven't forgotten Bill O'Reilly. I used to watch him at least 3 times a week while Bush was in office, which I started doing as soon as Bush first brought up Iraq. You can always spot an O'Reilly watcher when they use terms like "opined," which he credits himself for introducing to his viewers. Right Whirl? Watching Bill back then wasn't as bad, although his arrogance was. It took him quite a while, almost 5-6 years after 9-11 before he admitted he was wrong for backing Bush and Cheney about Iraq. Anyone who knows anything about Bill, knows even when he's wrong and has to admit it, or apologize, there's always a "but" to it. During those days he actually seemed fair. I believe it's because he was pissed at Bush and he didn't cut him much clack. During the campaign, he made it clear he didn't like Hillary, but he wasn't a big fan of McCain either. When it was clear Obama was going to POTUS, Bill said he would be fair and support him as the prez. That lasted until the inauguration, then it was no holds barred. With top correspondents like Carl Rove and Newt Gingrich, the gloves came off. First at Bush for his stimulus, then even harded for Obama's. Since then I can't remember one thing he backed Obama on. If I missed something, let me know. He has been a big Palin supporter, or apologizer. It got to the point about six months ago when it was constant bashing. That, along with Bill's arrogance was enough for me. After almost 10 years I had to part ways.

To the other side, Maddow and Matthews, I can't really say much. I rarely watched them. I'd rather watch and read news, look up and do my own research and stay away from most opinionists, at least those that get paid to tell you what you should think. They have an agenda I'm not interested in sharing.

So Whirl, the next time you want to bitch about someone not starting threads and not having an original idea, please start with one of your own instead of someone else's you found online. Come up with something that's truly your own, then, if you feel it's not strong enough to stand on it's own, get facts to back it, not opinions..

Bottom line, if you can't talk you can't compromise. If you can't compromise, do what's right. If you don't know right from wrong, STFU!

In other words, you don't have a link.
